Tonight I became "Levy out" for the first time. And I want the majority of players gone too. Only 10 or so of the players came out at the end (I can only remember Kane, Bale, Toby and Moura), and 30 minutes late

Durong that 30 or so minutes the mood got progressively worse, just boos ringing around the stadium in front of an empty pitch

I don't normally take photos or videos at the ground but I've never seen anything like it
Can you confirm whether or not winks (and even mason for that matter) came out and applauded the fans?

because to me, if they didn’t thats unforgivable.

like Kane, these are fans, academy boys and have a connection to the club that goes beyond being a player.

Winks and Mason were too busy staring into each other’s eyes in the dressing room.

I wish I'd taken a photo, I can only remember those four coming out. There were others but I can't remember who was - and wasn't - there. Although I think most of them were from tonight's bench

He’s off. It’s done.

Honestly, can you blame him? As sad as I would be when he goes, the club regressed massively last season and a half. We don’t make the CL again and blew it in Europa League against bloody Zagreb. Our squad is rotten, we are de facto managerless...

Ok thanks for replying.
That’s really shit either way tbf.
Speaks of a really split dressing room.

the players themselves are bloody lucky they don’t play for a club like Marseille, sporting or any Italian club. Antics like this would result in players being attacked at the training ground

Maybe Poch and his squad wouldn’t have been burned out if he had got the backing from Levy that he had been screaming out for. Instead, he got 2 transfer windows in a row where not a single player was signed!!
How many times it's needed to be said that he was main reason why not a single player was signed?

The state of this club is a disgrace.

Whether you loved him or loathed him, Mourinho knows enough about football to recognise the players who are going to let you down with their attitude or because they simply don't have the quality it takes. It's why Winks and Alli were sidelined, and players like Moura and Lamela had his faith.

Levy doesn't want to face the truth about these players and the need to overhaul the squad. The only thing more inflated than his valuation of the likes of Winks, Dier or Dele is their own sense of entitlement.

I didn't want Mourinho, and couldn't see him as a long term solution, but I thought it would be great if he was around this summer as it would certainly have meant a clear out of players. I never want to watch a game with Winks starting again, but it looks like he will be here next season, out-lasting the best manager we have had in generations in Poch, and the most decorated manager we are ever likely to have in Mourinho.

Kane is a winner, and I can't imagine how he must feel right now having seen Mourinho fired days before a cup final, and the club now spiralling out of European contention.

Including Mason and Winks.

(And you're not advocating for players being attacked by thuggish ultras? Right? Right?)

More offensive?

1. Spurs joining Super League for 48 hours

2. That display tonight

I am expecting some sincere apologies ...

That makes it even worse, we were waiting and the announcer more or less said go home. So we left and now to hear and see that the players came out is even more disappointing

Sacking Poch was correct. Hiring José was wrong.

Levy underestimated the quality of the squad and tried to hire a winner to get us over the line.

What it needed was a new coach with fresh ideas and a clear out of dead wood

Unfortunately 2 years later the dead wood is still here and our transfer activity has been poor.

At the moment I only see Hoijberg as a successful transfer. The rest I'm on the fence with and don't really see any of them as regular starters who could get us back in the top 4.

Maybe the new coach will be able to get something extra out of them but I'm not hopeful at the moment.
Our recruitment has been fucking shocking for years now. We have spent big money on players that haven’t even been capable of making much of an impact on the first team ... Sissoko, Sanchez, Bergwijn, Docherty for example. I like Rodon and think he will come good but he obviously wasn’t ready for first team duty and wasn’t what we needed to replace Verts.

Levy didn’t have the balls to go the extra few quid for the Bruno Fernandes, Jack Grealish, Dybalas and Skriniars of the world. Quality players but instead we get freebies and loan signings that never work out.

Then we get to the likes of Jansen, N’Koudou, N’Jie, Chiriches, Paulinho, Chadli. Total fucking punts. Buy cheap. Buy twice and all that.

To be fair, some signings have been relatively successful - Dele and Dier have had their good days but unfortunately they have both stunk the place out for a long time now and still Levy refuses to sell them as he knows what they could have been worth.

Plus we have a multi-billionaire owner who reckons he can run a top 6 PL club without spending a penny of his own wedge.

In general, it’s a total shambles. ENIC are clearly way out of their depth.

Clarifies the situation much better

And no, I’m not suggesting that we all go mob handed down to bullsmoor tomorrow.
I am simply pointing out that that has happened at other clubs.

personally I think making the fans hang around for another 30 mins is a pretty shitty thing to do tbh. Smart, of course. Especially if you’re expecting boos and the like. But pretty poor to hide in the changing rooms until most fans have gone home instead of facing the music.

I remember many years ago, towards the end of Sugar’s reign, I went to a match mid-season and we were so poor a season ticket holder sat a few rows in front stood up, screamed “I’m not fucking doing this anymore!!” ripped up his book and threw it towards the pitch.

I hadn’t thought about him again until tonight. That’s where I’m at.

If those players had an ounce of class about them they would offer to cover the cost of the tickets for tonight’s match. They should be disgusted with themselves for serving up that spineless pile of shit and do the right thing.

I actually apologised to my son for putting him through that tonight - he was so excited to go as well! He learnt a few new words though so that’s all good ? (there was no designated family area and most of the nut jobs sat by me didn’t hold back!)
They don't even have enough character to come out and do the end of season lap*. So we know how much class they have.

*Well, not till half an hour later when most fans had already left.

I don't think their intention was to make fans wait. I got the feeling that either the players refused, or they were told not to go oit because the club hierarchy feared the negative PR of boos. When it became clear a large number of people were refusing to leave, and with the mood getting uglier and uglier, I believe that either a section of players said "screw you, we're going out", or the club ordered some to go out

Agree but I think you mean overestimated.

Saw a graphic about our top ten record signings a few days ago, and you can only say 1 of those (Son) has been a real success.

Tanguay - €60m
Sanchez - €42m
Sissoko - €35m
GLC - €32m
Bergwijn - €30m
Lamella - €30m
Soldado - €30m
Reguillon - €30m
Son - €30m
Moura -€29m

These are rounded figures (before anyone haggles over the amounts) but that is an awful lot of money spent on poor recruitment (mostly in the recent past) and has a big part to play. Whenever we spend big we get it horribly wrong like no other.
