I don't understand why we build out like that when we have a keeper that's weakest ability is passing. Doesnt help when you have Dier and Sanchez who are awful on the ball and then their options are Emerson and Sess who are not great. At what point does Conte start having to take the blame?

Let's be honest. We should have been 2 up after 15 minutes. We failed to take our chances then Hugo screws up twice and here we are. We just should have seen far more effort chasing that equaliser. It ain't good enough, even with the players we had out and despite how close we are to the World Cup

In the second half of last season the players executed the game plan pretty well, this season the performances have worsened and the intensity has gone.

Teams have figured out to play against Conte but he's being stubborn.

Surely at some point he has to realise that he too has to adapt, especially when the only real outlet we have is unavailable.

Conte is getting in the way because of how he's setting the team up.

This game started well but Lloris doesn't apply common sense and then the pressure of the moment spreads to the others and now they can't complete simples tasks.

This club has to learn how to deal with pressure, it doesn't matter who the head coach is or who is on the pitch, in key moments they tend to fall apart.

Biggest red flag was this past window when we were in prime position to sign an actual footballer in Eriksen and Conte turned him down. Apparently, he played too many forward passes for Conte’s liking.

Not pretty simple......otherwise you'd be manger?. The players mindset & application is awful, never mind the formation.... Far to many errors and shit decision making....

Simple in the sense that the players/squad aren't good enough and the squad lacks creativity and attacking options/quality depth as has been the case with us for about 4 seasons now, add to that pragmatic football manager hire's and when the results are bad there is just a whole load of frustration as there isn't much 'fun'.

I really like and rate Conte and think we need to keep building him a squad he needs/wants if he will stick around but I'm also dissapointed in our recruitment (pre Paratici) as well as our manager hires as the combination of Jose + Nuno + poor signings + lack of attacking and creative player signings has led to us playing catch-up and also often playing football that at times isn't the nicest to watch partly due to the tactics and partly just due to the players we have in the squad.

I know we've been pretty terrible in a lot of games this season but I honestly thought that was one of our better performances. We created more and better chances than them, had more possession and we dictated the play for long periods. If that outrageous first goal was correctly given as a foul then I think we go on and win the match. It's just one of those days where the ref gives a mind boggling call in favour of Saudi owned Newcastle which turned the game in their favour. I suppose it's just one of those things.

I’m not gonna hit the panic button just yet, considering that this time a week ago we were talking about our best start in about 60 years!

Though it must be said that the football we play is so poor. I can’t get over how weak and placid we were in the first half and to be honest the second wasn’t much better, Newcastle just took their foot off the pedal.

I find this funny because people laugh at Arsenal as having 'no depth' yet theyre top. So is it depth or the football? Eddie Howe started at the same time as Conte I think. They had a poorer squad, they bought as many as we have even though we started off at a much higher level. They play a decent brand of football but nothwistanding that, sicne we scored, i cant recall a chance or any sort of pressure we have applied.

When Eddie Howe has been suggested, in the past, as a potential Tottenham manager it was laughed at. He’s proving his doubter wrong . He’s been very impressive in how he’s transformed Newcastle and it’s not down to money either.
