Anyone know what the constant chant/song was that we were singing?

Thought it was the utd fans at first but pretty sure it was out fans singing it in the last 20 mins?

“Oh, Ange Postecoglou.” I was there and it took me 20 minutes to work it out!

Sarr and Biss with Madders are literally the dogs bollox of a midfield. And Udogie, how good is he?

Never e pected a clean sheet today either. Vicario was superb.

Happy days!
All of these players are on an upward curve too. Game by game they're going to learn and get better. Our kids beat a pretty experienced Utd 2-0 while still learning each other's names. Can't bloody wait for the next match!

Where to begin ?

I'd genuinely forgotten how the excitement felt like when watching attacking, progressive, high tempo football where players have freedom and creativity and being drilled to have good interplay in tight areas. It suddenly hit home to me even more how ill fitting our last 3 managers had been.

Some mentions...

Vicario - nervy to start, first big save gave him confidence
Udogie - looking very similar to how positive all reports of him in Serie A were last year
Bissouma - the player we all knew he was capable of being and the clever signing we knew he was at the time
Sarr- we have a player here which we knew from Milan last year. Some of the ball carrying from both these guys was outstanding
Maddison - bloody hell he looked so good 2nd half

Kulu - swear he read in a nano second that he had no clear ball on so he chipped it back at that cluster of defenders hoping for a decisive deflection and he got one. Only he will know but if so then a touch of higher thinking than your normal footballer

This game was the moment where it finally all hit me as to what we had been missing these last 3-4 years. I THINK the results will take care of themselves enough this year to where it wont be an issue for Ange, its just more to do with the joy of watching us play this way and see players who looked so nervy and lost under Conte, suddenly look so different.

Our recruitment under Paratici ie last 2 years or so looks to be at least good and possibly excellent. Shame it was coming from a bad start of the previous 2 years being awful, before we had him.

So refreshing to hear a manager speak plainly and honestly, just say it how it is in a way we can all agree with generally. No riddles, no guarded messages. No tantrums.

Very happy

I thought he looked calm and comfortable throughout.

Only just finished watching the game on delay and couldn’t be happier with the performance. We looked nervous in the first 20 minutes, got into our groove as the first half wore on and dominated the second half. Madders is a joy to watch. Bissouma and Sarr were everything you want a midfield to be. VdV and Romero were coolness personified at the back.

Yep, on another day Fernandes buries his header and Antony’s shot that hit the post goes in the corner, but we’re so much more enjoyable to watch and - impressively - so much better than I expected us to be just 2 games in.

Could have done without the usual GNev Red Cafe post-mortem on commentary for the last 15 minutes though. It’s tiresome that he resorts to it every time Utd lose unless he’s got Carragher alongside him to keep his mind on the game itself.

Bit cheesed off-on my holibobs in Crete and forgot to pack a spurs shirt. Couldn’t get to see the game so was just following this thread. The bit that cheesed me off was after the F/T result, I saw 3 people in a MU shirt and soooo wished I had my lilywhite on. Did see a young lad with one on tho and just went up to him and gave him a fist bump
