A lot of focus is on the front line, but we need to keep it tight at the back, so we can nick a goal or two from set pieces. Not impossible, and our most likely route unless we can get 30+ minutes from Deki and/or Richarlison

I can't imagine a world where Conte decides to NOT start Gil against Bournemouth but decides to throw him in the deep end against Liverpool. Given Richie's importance to Brazil, I also can't imagine him risking himself so close to the World Cup. All in all, I think it'll be:
Lloris
Dier Lenglet Davies
Royal PEH Benta Bissouma Sess
Kane Lucas

If we go three in the middle I think we’ll do them, their midfield is their main weakness and with our three we’ll dominate them.
Let’s play to our biggest strength at the moment not just try to shoehorn in three up top for the sake of it.

Dan KP's article today suggests that both are close to returning but neither is yet back in full training, so it doesn't sound like they'll be available on Saturday.
Lucky the games on Sunday then ?

we saw Kulu doing some pretty intense running drills on the pitch before the Bournemouth game. Surely he must be close to at least making the bench, no??

We need...The wing backs to be creative. All 3 defenders have to be on their game. The MF 3 will be important. Both forwards need to have a clinical game and no mistakes from the keeper. Sorted-just need the players to fulfill the need.

Romero out
Son out
Richarlison out
Kulu out
Lucas not out but still injured
Bentancur and Hojbjerg both nursing knocks
This team is literally going to be thread bare

Our defenders are going to have to be right on their toes Sunday. Liverpool may have struggled this season for various reasons but they still have Nunez, Firmeno and that little shitweasel Salah who always gives me nightmares.

The Lane is going to be rocking Sunday and it's going to be a real tough game for us, especially without our Sonny, but we can do it, and WE MUST get a win, otherwise with Newcash right up our backsides, we could lose our 3rd place. I'm going 2-1.

COYS!!!!

Perisic needs to be on the pitch for set pieces, so I suspect he'll start on the left.

If we have the usual first half Liverpool will be out of touch by HT, we cant play 9 ish defensive minded players just sitting outside our box against Liverpool all half needs to be a change in mentality and try and attack their weak point which is their defence

It would be nice if for once a team that we were facing were in the midst of an injury crisis rather than it always being us. You can guarantee that if an opposition player is rated doubtful that they'll play against us.

It's make do and mend for this one. We will have to dig deep from the well to get anything from this one given our current injury list, as our patched up hero's who are running on fumes, bumps, bruises and knocks will have to tough it out on Sunday. COYS !!

It'd be awesome if we could start Deki and have Richarlison on the bench. Would give us a much better chance of getting something. With Deki not going to the WC I wonder if the Son injury means we'll go for it.

If so I'd ideally go for this.

Lloris

Emerson
Dier
Lenglet
Davies
Sessegnon

Hojbjerg
Bentancur

Kulusevski
Kane
Perisic

Obviously big question marks on the fitness of Deki and the CMs. Both of them and Kane must be in the red zone. I'd play the pacier wing backs to help our wide CBS against Nunez and Salah. Perisic to attack the space behind Trent. Lucas is just too wasteful for a game like this - you are literally gambling he has his 1 world class game in 20.

It will be

Lloris

Dier Lenglet Davies

Emerson PEH Bissouma Bentancur Sessegnon

Lucas Kane
agreed this is the most likely line up

Seems like Conte would rather play Dier out of position than trust Sanchez to play in his preferred RCB position. That being the case he needs to be replaced urgently.

I trust Dier there a lot more aswell and agree. Try and involve Sanchez in any possible Jan deal for a defender.

It will never happen, but for the team should be:

Lloris

Dier - Lenglet - Davies

Spence - PEH - Bentancur - Sess

Gil - Kane - Perisic
I'd be reasonably ok with it being Emerson over Spence, but I just feel like we never to give teams like Liverpool a bit of a surprise and I can imagine Spence and Gil will both be gagging for a proper shot at first team football and allow some pressure to come off midfield.
