Still amazed we got to the final, never thought I'd see it in my lifetime!

I think we knew what to expect, gave ourselves too much to do as usual (one goal down in a final after 30 seconds!) and never really took the few chances we created despite being the better side on the night.

Two things that bugged me:

Sissoko, putting your arm up in the penalty area? Really? What did you expect to happen?!

And the amount of time our defence played the ball backwards and to Lloris! Wasted massive amounts of time in a game where we needed to score!

Unlucky Spurs.
Penalty ruined it. Awful game.
So proud of this team and our club.
Worst final seen.
We played as we have recently, too slow, tapping it around between centerbacks, running the clock down when we are behind and need a goal. Frustrating.
Moura should have started imo but easy to say in hindsight.
I just wish I'd had money on Liverpool scoring in first 20min. Was always gonna happen.
Rose played really well. Our Mom for me.

Moura hindsight?? He just scored a CL semi hat trick to get us there and then an unfit Kane comes barging back into the team. It seems Poch just doesn't have the courage to leave him out even though we all know how shit he is when he comes back from injury.

Why have we had such a problem scoring at times this season. On paper Alli Kane and son upfront should work so well. At times this season we have looked awful going forward. I just don’t get it

Cos Alli is the most overrated footballer in world football

I disagree but respect that you backed up your rating.

I felt like Kane was a passenger and didn’t show or offer anywhere near enough to justify the faith tha was put in him.

I also don’t think he is fit, he was constantly on his heels, not ready or capable of sprinting or react to situations

Liverpool are good defensively, who runs them ragged? Kane did OK for me, didnt get much to work with.

We had a great run in a champions league. getting to the finals is a fantastic achievement for the club.

we always knew we had to play to our very best to beat liverpool. unfortunately. it wasn't our night.

I am sure we will learn from nights like this, and hopefully we will work even harder to get it the next time around.

i am sad and disappointed, but we need to look back and take heart for our great european campaign this season.

truely memorable.

Would of set up differently from the off. Look we were never meant to win, should have realized that in the first 30 seconds.
I don't think the set up in the first half was bad. The front four just played shit and Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Sissoko and Winks played scared with the ball. Their first touch was toward their own goal. Trippier was in acres of space, escpecially in the first half, but we rarely got him the ball

The second half our attack was much too narrow and didn't give players much options. It always been a problem when we go into this shape because the players just take up each others space and the defenders have only one option to play to in midfield who can be easily prevented from getting on the ball.

I’ll never forget this, though. What a fun month+ it’s been. These players gave everything they had and in the end, perhaps a little more investment might have made the difference. We’ve got a great foundation and now it’s time to kick on and make the step up. COYS!

Liverpool lost the final last year and invested a hell of a lot to make sure they won if it happened again. We need to do the same.

Poch was always gonna face questions over the starting lineup if he lost, dammed if he did and dammed if he didn't.

Players let the club down, they were scared and Eriksen and Alli didn’t turn up. Wholesale changes needed and wouldn’t be surprised to see Poch walk now, can’t compete when it matters because he can’t buy the players with the balls to play

Been here 15 years, never posted because, fuck knows why. In Madrid. It fucking hurts but suck it up and good things will come our way. All my wife’s family are scousers and it won’t be pretty but we’ll be ok. Best day ever in the fanzone. Love you spurs

Disappointing performance and think our luck ran out after we had the rub of the green in the previous 2 rounds. Think Poch and the players will look back and think "what if" after today, considering how bad they were. Poor that their keeper had nothing to do for 75 minutes. Only in the last 15 minutes did we work the keeper.

Despite this, I'm proud that we go this far in the first place with all the troubles we've had this season. No home till April, no signings, plenty injuries and the World Cup hangover. Need to build on this, invest and go again.

p.s. I don't think it was a penalty. Allowed Pool to si

For me, one thing that needs to change for our next final, is this ‘Tottenham have done well to get to the final”
“We’re happy to be here” “didn’t expect to win anyway”

We need to get the big players, change that attitude and see the big games through.
I really do wonder what we’ll do though. Feel like we’re more likely to lose two top players than sign two tho

I want some of that. What a feeling that must be :-/

Gutted, so disappointed. Snookered ourselves from the first minute.
