Agree with u Strikeb4ck. Not a single player could find a pass behinde the Fulham defence. Put players like Holtby and Carrol in those who can put offensive passes. Need to understand that Dembele is not a guy that can put the Tempo on the ball, But Lewis and Carrol are able to do that. Let them play ! COYS !!

can understand what AVB see in Dempsey ? can someone tell me, i have tryed to find something good with him all season but it`s impossible Put him on the bench this is not basketball "DUDE"!

Carroll NEEDS gametime. Way too good to be sitting on the bench and genuinely the only player we have that can open up a defence with a pass. When we had Modric and VdV they did that, Parker/Dembele/Dempsey/Sig don't. Holtby can do it but shows no consistency and struggles to get in a lot of games.

Whar positives are there really? We're bottling it again and I see nothing positive about it. Todays result is one we couldn't afford considering the fixtures we have coming up. We shouldve won last weekend but two mistakes cost us dearly. Our strikers are on strike and we've got tough fixtures ahead. We're putting a lot in a competition we could do without. We need to stop the rot sooner rather than later.

Thought Tommy Carroll looked great. I was really worried he wouldn´t handle the pressure coming on in a game like this, but he "whooped that pressure´s arse sideways". Several nice through passes and whipped in balls squandered by a team that did fuck all. Verts was his usual self, so that´s nice. Other than that it is nice to know that the Bale money might fix other weaknesses in out squad this summer.

All is not lost guys,

So we lost a game, 3rd on the bounce but were still sitting pretty.

Plenty of positives to be had so far this season, and I'd rather be in our position than arsenals, as it is - champions league football is still more probable than not. (Given we are 4 points above the team in 4th place).

Lets stop all the miserable stuff kids. Turn that frown upsides down.
I'm not so sure about that

Arsenal win their game in hand and they go just 1 point behind us

They have much the easier run in and are currently the team with all the momentum and far more creativity, movement and goals in them than we do

We have Bale as our only method of penetration and two misfiring strikers

Harder games, more fixtures what with the Europa and in a poor run of form looking tired

The only posiitives to come out of today are this......

Carroll looked good, no major injuries and we have an international break to take the focus away from us and give our players rest

As of right now even with the four point lead (1 if game in hand is won) Arsenal are favourites to finish above us no doubt

The only positive is I can't imagine we could be any worse than today for the rest of the way.

I say bring it on we have tougher games....we seem to actually bother turning up for them :)

Yeah because they are more open and attack us, where as teams like Fulham set out to defend and take whatever they can get on the counter

Good, we can't handle being favourites. The season we finished 4th we did so because we only became favourites after actually beating city, and it was too late for us to manage to screw up then. It probably would suit us to have to chase Arsenal and let the pressure sit on them, but regardless I'll take the 4/3/1 point lead. After all, Arsenal are prone to messing up these sort of games themselves!

Not this season they're not

They've actually been fairly consistent all year against the weaker teams, it's the big games they've under performed in this year and they've only got Utd left and a push Everton and Utd will have won the league already

Arsenal aren't that good any more but we're a one man team (or as close to one as you can get) and Bale has been masking some pretty poor performances for a while

While I am sure Arsenal will drop points, we will drop more because we have far the tougher run in and we have a distinct lack of creativity, movement and penetration

We are going to blow 3rd place, which has much bigger rewards for a club like us that 4th place does.
3rd GUARANTEES champions league group stage football. Guarantee's a much bigger income than 4th and the qualifiers do. We could go out and make our moves for players KNOWING we are in the group stage, rather than being fed the bullshit that we have have two shopping lists all summer, one for qualifying and one for being eliminated.... only to qualify and shop like we'd been eliminated.

Its been a bad week after a very good few months. But the signs are worrying. 2 mistakes against Liverpool has started this, and its now snowballing. We have to stop it. International break is a blessing. We need to regroup, refocus and make an almighty push again. The media will now turn on us, our own fans are already expecting, actually accepting the impending crash. We have to stop it.

Worst strikeforce in the top 7 probably, yet still with a genuine chance of 3rd (could have been dreaming of 2nd but for today). We'll need a lot of luck, and one of the chuckle brothers up front (disrespectful to Defoe but I'm in a bad mood) to find form. My money, my hope, is with Defoe.

i had an afternoon away from the wife, bought a nice new spurs scarf, exchanged furtive glances with a hot woman on victoria line and had a big tasty.

A really good day apart from the 2 hours of pathetic football in the middle
