Welcome to the Spurs Vs Everton Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

Which spurs will turn up then?
the one which beat city away and Leeds 4-0 or the one which looked like a Sunday league side against Burnley and Middlesbrough ?‍♂️

I’m hoping we thrash them but it could be cagey and tight given how astutely Everton defended against city recently although home advantage should count for something.

Everton pose a threat for sure and they'll have DCL back. With Richarlison and Grey they've a decent attacking trio.

At the back though they're shite, hence their league position.

Frank can't polish a turd that quick etc.

Confident, we'll take the points.

Always worth remembering that we've played 4 away games in a row which is difficult (despite some awful performances in there!).

Conte may feel more confident about taking the game to Everton at home, which I think will play into our hands. This idea that we can sit back and counter all the time isn't sustainable, so we need to get on the ball and control the bloody game.

I predict a narrow 2-1 win and Frank to have a meltdown on the touchline.

Lampard says he is hopeful DCL will be involved. To me that means on the bench at best. He wasn’t on the bench on Thursday . They cannot take chances with him as he has hardly played this season.

Bold part 1 = overhyped British player who Dier will pocket.

Bold part 2 = Overhyped, totally slap-able prick who Hojbjerg & Romero will have crying before the end of the game.

The problem with home games mate, is the supporters.

Away fans are absolutely magnificent. But unless it's goals galore & non stop attacking, batshit crazy football, there's boos & silence from those in the stands.

The players simply must feel this & it must have an affect on them/their performance. There's a reason Conte, Reguilon (and even Paratici) have tried to get the crowd going after certain events during a game. It feeds the players & it gives them that extra 1% of energy/desire that that they may not have previously had.

I've used them as an example before, and it's really not nice to say/admit. But compare us to Anfield, where their fans sing their fucking hearts out & have a truly unbelievable belief that they can beat anyone. Even if they think it may not happen, they back that team as though they believe it could.

They are the epitome of the cliché that is "the 12th man". That's what we need. It would make such a huge difference. But no, let's boo at half time etc because that's really working.

.
Which opponent will turn up? One that commits its players forward suicidally, like Citeh and Leeds, or one that plays to its own strengths and its opposition’s weaknesses?

I think there is some truth to this narrative but then Southampton pressed us high and attacked us and left lots of space to work with, and wiped the floor with us.
