Welcome to the Spurs Vs Brighton Match Thread! COYS!

We want to bring the joy back into match days as these threads have just become full of over the top from at least a handful of posters. While we understand and have the same frustrations on the team and the performances the constant beating on the same players for just being picked is tiresome the same with going over how we didn't get more players in during the transfer window. We would rather not limit peoples access to this thread, so please before you hit post just read your post back...

STREAMING SITES

We cannot allow the posting of links to Streaming sites/apps and as a result of that do not allow posts asking for them as they invariably result in someone posting a link. Please do NOT hint at having, post or ask for links to streaming sites. The latest 'clever' way around this is to drop hints. That'll have to stop too I'm afraid as again, it results in people posting links.

We can’t give up as many chances or space as we did in the cup game. Be clinical though and we should be fine. Not going to be an easy game at all but our record against them at home is good and we should look to carry that on.

Brighton exploited the lack of energy from Arsenal. The players must expect Brighton to be up for this So need to be on their A game form the off-no pissing about. Doesn't matter what other teams are doing, its all about us now. COYS

Will we win, I say yes once again without needing teamsheets

Work hard from the kick off and take care of business with no fuss.

That then puts pressure on Arsenal in their tricky away game.

Sorry for beimg off topic, if we win tomorrow and end up getting 4th and West Ham win the Europa league does that knock us out of Champions league for 4th again?

No

5 CL places for PL teams. Only way 4th gets kicked out is if both the CL & EL winners finish outside the top 4.

it’s all good, no panic.

All the remaining games seem to have a “big game” feeling. Need to win this, puts pressure back onto Arsenal.
Full of confidence for this one, we’ve looked pretty strong in the last few games, can’t see why that won’t continue.

Spurs win, bumping up our GD on the way.

As well as the players the crowd need to be up for this game , early kick off games not always the best with atmosphere.

Be confident and let them worry about us , COYFL
Worried-we play with pressure, they can enjoy themselves. With each game passing the pressure cranks up a little. We can’t slip up at any point in the run in.

The next five games will be truly massive. Get through those still three points clear and the sunlit uplands of Burnley and Norwich await with welcome signs and gentle breezes

Potential banana skin, but every game is I suppose. If we can win away against Villa, we can beat Brighton at home.

Another 2-0 Spurs I reckon.

We need 4 wins and a draw I reckon. This needs to be win number 1! Like a lot of the teams in the prem their issue isn't being competitive or creating chances, it's scoring.

We just need to do our thing up front and keep it tight at the back.

Score first and it should be comfortable.

They'll give us a good game imo. Just hoping their atrocious front line stays true to form. We should be able to bag a couple of goals.

As has been said the race between us and Arsenal has a similar feel to when we were chasing Leicester but the roles are reversed.
If we win Sat we go 6pts clear and despite having played 2 games more it'll pile the pressure on Arse even more.
Its a lot harder chasing a team than it is staying in front.
