To be fair he was a very good young defender with great physical attributes. He just has never improved and in fact has gone backwards. It can happen with young players.

I honestly rate Sanchez as our worst ever defender, and I've watched Austin, Nethercott, Edinburgh, Gardner ...!

Sanchez gets blamed rightfully but all our centre backs have been absolutely awful this season including the World Cup winner. Some need shifting but the coaching is pathetic. Every time teams attack us we look all over the place and likely to concede. We’re such a poor side.

Just a thought, but maybe playing two in midfield doesn’t help. Our CBS are exposed every bloody week.
