But is it not a case of judgement as well? Both Trippier and Aurier joggs slowly back when a sprint would get them on the defensive side. Look at the chances created by Leicester because Trippier was jogging around high up the pitch.
Possibly but players aren't robots, similarly if a midfielder or CB has covered the exposed space then the fullback needs to then cover their position not get back to the fullback position.

It's absolutely intentional, and it's been the case from the first season. In a back four it is the responsibility of the CM and the CBs to cover for the fullbacks when they have moved into transition, not for them to be super human and be in the right position offensively and defensively at all times...

For me that always one of the most annoying things that some fans do. There is always going to be space behind our fullbacks until we change manager!! Poch sees it as a risk worth taking and it's frankly largely worked for us the last however many seasons

.

Doesn't matter how often you try to explain it tbh.

Its not beyond the realms of possibility for dotmund to fly out the traps and get a 2-0 lead by half time. After that we are stuck in a terrible situation of either sticking or twisting. Its pretty suicidal to go to a place like Dortmund and try sit back and invite them on because they have great technical player are a city-lite in the way they operate around the box.

Still much to do.

We won't sit back, we will play our normal game and so we will score.

That's what we should do, but whether we will is another matter. I'm still haunted by being 3 nil up by MU all those years ago & we all know what happened in the 2nd half.

Get an away goal is the way to go for me.

Sitting back isn't in our game, we're not managed by Jose, we'll go out and play high risk/high reward football, will probably give up some chances but ultimately create a few ourselves.

I don't steal them, I liberate them...I wrongly thought freedom was right up your street mate.

Besides, I do actually get them legally, I just breach the terms and conditions because of where I live....Sony are bloody racists.

Shit, now I'm conflicted. It's like I'm listening to Sarah Sanders tell me the exact opposite of what i know to be true. Screw it, I'm with you now.

:wacky: I think you are missing some inverted commas on that first word. But I'm with you. I get all the PL games but the platforms suck ass and are too resource intensive so I stream. Plus the Ad assault on my senses is too much for someone that cut the cord over 10 years ago. But getting all these Euro streams has made my desire to gamble about equivalent to your new desire for fast food and snacks.:ROFLMAO:

He is a good young player that showed a couple of flashes last night but nothing else. Regarding being the "messiah", he is the first of a kind of new wave of US players that have a chance to be pretty good, and are now starting to get 1st team minutes in Europe. Relative to Americans coming through, he is great and I actually think he will be a decent player in the PL but he is over hyped because he is American.

Last night was the third game in a row that Dortmund have conceded three goals. They won't be confident about keeping a clean sheet in the second leg.

It was tongue in cheek mate, love giving the colonials something to bite on :sneaky: ;)
TBH he's going to the chav scum so I'll have no option but to hate him, no matter how good he is.

Good choice. Was the 'healthiest' burger chain last i checked. IMO the best too. Jr Bacon Cheese was the goto in college. A couple of those and a small frosty made for a really satisfying munchie run.

I was playing for my local team that day & my manager decided to drop me. He was a Manc fan. I decided, rather than go outside and watch my team play, I'd get pissed & watch our match on TV.

I spent the entire first half running outside to constantly splurge drunken tirades of abuse in his direction because of the battering we were giving his beloved Utd.

The evening wasn't much fun & I was dropped the following week too.
