Also got a horrible feeling porro won't play 2nd half. Reckon his foot would be bruised badly

The difference on the ball between Bentancur and Højberg is night and day. The ability to take the ball on the half turn and play quick forward passes just isn’t in Hojberg’s wheelhouse. He’s done some good pressing and winning the ball back, but you can see the drop in tempo since he came on. Suddenly, Davies and Emerson are a lot more tentative and a half se come slower to move the ball without the safety valve of Bentancur/Bissouma in front of them
Totally agree but nothing we can do now and looking at it more positively PEH is good on the press and defensively is fairly solid and we should have more than enough creativity with the other 5 attacking players plus the full backs to win this game.

We've been good today, worked hard and created loads of chances, but got it wrong in decisive moments. Villa have been poor but look like they're going to score every time they put the ball into the box, which is a huge problem for us. Without Romero and VdV we're going to struggle to keep teams out. I think we'll concede again which means we'll have to score at least 2 more to win the match. Got to finish our chances.

so many positives here, just can't understand the moaning.

we are where we are with CB's. Ange hasn't chosen to play with them, he has to. it's highly unlikely we're stable till Romero and/or VdV are back.

the rest has been so encouraging.

plus the added bonus of this team selection confirming, as soon we're able, Dier and PEH will be out of here.
Nothing to moan about. We played a near enough fully fit villa off the park with 11 injuries. Incredible performance all things considered

Not convinced by Gil so far, seems to get in good positions but his general passing and final ball seems mediocre.

Agree but we have GLC & Kulu as 8’s so I think we still have enough creativity along with Porro, Udogie, Johnson and Gil to all feed Sonny.
We have. But they are further up. The ball is not travelling up to them when Hojbjerg's position create that bigger gap to front than Biss and Bentancur, when neither both of them are known to be creative.

I think it's nice that we're 1-1 with the team in 5th place, we're 3 points off top of the table, with a huge injury list, and we're still feeling hard done by.

Bentacur looked better than biss in the number 6

Pray this injury is just impact and nothing lasting

All things considered, this has been a great performance. When you consider the change in attitude in here pre-game/pre lineup to where we are at half, it''s pretty clear that Ange has this team punching above their weight. What a blast it is being a Spurs fan again.

Well the things to main about are outside our control. Like the fact that they should have had 2 off and we should have had a pen

Glad to see Lo Celso showing his ability out there, when we have a proper squad available he could still be valuable player for us. Same with Gil for me, it’s difficult to judge when we’re up against it with a patched together team but he’s been well involved.

I don't think we're in any position to moan when we have Romero on our books.

It was a shit challenge from Cash but I've seen tonnes worse.
Romero is currently suspended for 3 games after winning the ball and without the player being injured, and Cash is not went in on a player who has just returned from injury and didn’t get the ball (as far as I can see at the game). One’s a World Cup winner and the other is pretending to be Polish. Don't be comparing the two!
