The report does not offer any player Covid positive cases just fatigued/international duty and suspended . I know there are 100s posts explaining this but am I missing something here - why is it called off. Arsenal should’ve been offered - play or forfeit the points .

We were all brought up to believe English football is not corrupt-it is, it’s just not done in a blatantly open way.
.
"The decision is a result of a combination of Covid-19, existing and recent injuries and players on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations," said the Premier League.

What a joke. Seriously. When are injuries and players on international duty factors for postponement. They fucking just loaned players out. Their poor disciplinary records are they own doings.

The game should be considered forfeited, not postponed. We shouldn't be paying for their incorrigible discipline and poor vision in club management.

I really hope our club should raise this issue. The rippling effects are gonna be huge.

Someone has to compensate the people who forked out irrecoverable travel costs for this and it has to be either the scumbags that are arseholes fc or the premier league.

I would like to see a statement from Tottenham condemning the decision and pointing to the impact this has on all the fans travelling from abroad and at home with longdistances. Travel and accommodation is expensive and non-recoverable. Tottenham’s silence is the real tragedy.
Someone needs to explain the impact in monetary value to Levy. He acts on this aspect. Others, sadly not so much.

A football game in itself should be entertainment enough. I want to be entertained by football, the desire by the FA, PL, Sky, ... to monetise everything means that they've lost the integrity of the competition. They want scripted story lines akin to WWE or formula 1 rather than a competition.

What do you want the club to say?
The decision wasn't in our hands, and the statement shows that.
Acknowledge the impact on fans, express disappointment at the very least. And if the Club can sense the mood better than they usually do and better than the PL have done, they probably have cover to go much further than that.

We have too many games piling up and our silence contributes to the feeling that we are pushovers

Is there an appeals process?

Ridiculous to allow the AFCON (which every club has known about for a while and should have been planning for), injuries (with which every club is dealing with), and COVID (see previous)

And by all accounts they have enough first team, academy, and youth players for a 13 man squad.

Should be a 3-0 forfeit.

Typical scum getting the league to make decisions that benefit them and hurt us! Pr**ks!

Arsenal are chancers, we know this. The real blame is with the PL who thought it was reasonable. Really think they've set a precedent with this and opened themselves up to major problems.

I'm furious about the decision to postpone.
Email sent to Premier League (via their website) to let them know my thoughts.
I know nothing will come of it... but I wanted to share my disgust with them.

I presume that means the recent injuries are also nonexistent ones.

On the bright side games in hand are certain points so we're as good as in third place right now after Chelsea's loss :cautious:

Do we have a free chip to postpone a game whenever we like in the season now? Sounds only fair
