We should be winning this semifinal against Ajax 8/10 times and reach the CL-final, which would be absolutely amazing for the club.

But I just have a feeling, with our injuries and fatigue, that we end up dissapoiting ourselves like we usually do in the biggest game of the season.

Let's hope i'm wrong. COYS!!

Probably our biggest cup tie in 50 years or more with the second leg coming 8 days later.

I'm keeping the faith - I must believe.

Down to Poch and the lads, proud of them.

Semis of the UCL - We're giving a laugh. Beats the hell out of a top 12 finish.

Not going to lie im bricking it, I think we've too many injuries personally, we looked absolutely out on our feet midway through the second half on Saturday against West Ham, we will have largely the same team out tomorrow (minus Sonny). Also they've a young hungry fully fit squad to choose from and have just had a weeks rest, doesnt bode well imo. But that said delighted we are where we are, still looking forward to the game, if we can keep a clean sheet i'll be chuffed.

Life is pretty amazing really isn't it? If you had told me a year ago that we would be in the semi-final of the CL, but desperate for news that our key player, Sissoko, will be fit enough to play..... lol

We should be beating the likes of spammer's more time's out of ten but as you have alluded to we often disappoint ourselves in big moments, like you I think the team is shot through and this maybe a step to far but we have to throw our support around the team and see what happens.

West Ham should be a level higher than Ajax, given the huge $-difference and many others factors, and we're atleast a level above spammers. We're in a CHL-semifinal against a dutch side, would take that any day of the week, and it's a team we should beat most times!

But sometimes football just wins, which Ajax has def. showed.

I'm slightly concerned about the speed of the Ajax team moving it about quickly I think given what I saw Saturday it will be a big problem

West Ham game is irrelevant to this, the players will suddenly have renewed energy in my opinion.

Cleansheet for me is absolutely vital as I expect us to score away however if we concede one we shouldn't full into the pit of misery. I believe Dele will be key for this game, he is a big game player and I think if we can get Sissoko or Winks to partner Wanyama and have dele pushed up, he will make the difference for us. Expect Eriksen to have a big say also. I'm fully anticipating a defensive performance however and think we will go about this Semi final in a surprisingly professional way in terms of astute defensive responsibility.

Poch and the players will be massively up for this. The physical aspect will be tough for Ajax if we're at it.

You're right but the problem is our midfield is threadbare. Really have to hope Sissoko is available. Wanyama is physical, I guess, but has fitness issues. I can see Ajax with the likes of De Jong merely passing around him. As for Dier - he tried his best v West Ham but he looked overweight and unfit. This game has come at an awful time for us. We needed Winks and Sissoko to get through the tie IMO (we're already hampered by the absence of Kane and Son). Just have to hope at least Sissoko plays.

My thoughts on the West Ham game were that our players definitely had one-eye on the Semi Final and wanted to make sure they didn't get injured - or get knackered.

I'm not too fussed about the Spammers performance - even at half-pace we still had chances.
Ajax tomorrow will be different, i can feel it - the players will step up big time.

The injuries and fatigue is already an issue going to be a tough one

It's likely that they'll come at us all guns blazing to try and kill the game off in the first leg.

It's vital that we keep it tight and hit them on the break with Alli/Lucas, however I do feel missing Son could be very detrimental.

Agree mate - but i'm hoping the 'derby' mentality will kick in, i can imagine Poch giving a rousing pre-match speech and everyone will give their all :)

...would've liked to have Lamela on the pitch - someone who just doesn't give up and his running inspires those around him.

Son hasn't looked right for the past two games, said it in another thread but I feel he burnt himself out in the two City CL games. So a rest might not be a bad thing tomorrow night. Lucas and Llorente up top, hopefully they can form a partnership. I am nervous but also very excited, we need to enjoy this, not sure how many times we will be able to get to a CL Semi final.

Ajax are a mixed one, away they tend to be a different animal in the CL than at home but this time round they play the away leg first so be interesting to see how they set up, knowing they have a 2nd leg to follow....can't go all guns blazing surely.

Could we see Foyth in midfield with Sissoko? I think Poch will surprise us.

They will just continue to play the way they have done all season, we'll just have to be at the top of our own game. Worrying about injuries and fatigue will have to wait. They're excuses.
