Tottenham Hotspur are mulling over a move for FC Barcelona’s Andre Gomes, who is currently on loan at Everton. The Lilywhites are keen to bulk up their midfield options in the summer and Gomes has been identified as one of their prime candidates.

I find it astonishing that we are linked with the same names over and over again. I'm not a football scout but I am fairly sure that we can find a midfielder better than Andre Gomes who is prepared to move to London and play for a CL club. There's a reason Gomes is playing for Everton.

Edit: So, @bozzaSPUR thinks Gomes is the best midfielder we can get. A bold proposition.

He's an OK player, no more no less. For the mighty Spurs of the future, I think, he's not athletic enough. Not an upgrade on Dier, Winks and Sissoko. If we go for a PL foreign player, I prefer Tillemans.
