So which youngsters does Harry loan out?

Rose is needed as cover at leftback, and with no good news on Huddlestone I think Harry might be minded to hang on to Livermore.

I would like to see Townsend kept as like for like cover for Lennon and Bale, but with Krancjar and Pienaar available I cannot see him getting much of a look in; there is also the impressive Falque as additional cover, so perhaps it is better if he goes out on loan.

I suspect Mason, who has been on fire for the rezzies since returning from Donnie, will make his debut against Cheltenham, then be loaned out again.

Carroll will go out on loan, but only if the right club comes in for him - Sherwood has been quite blunt about the fact that they he does not want him subjected to Championship hoofball. Fredericks might be more generally available.

Kane, I suspect we might hang on to for NextGen; I think the club would really like to win this. Looks like Luongo, Ceballos, and possibly Nicholson, are also being kept back.

Parrett and Bostock are eternally available, but, after their failure to make much of an impression in the Football League, following in Dawkins footsteps to the MLS might perhaps be a better route.

Bongani and Dawkins? Fuck knows.

Apart from Livermore and Rose, none of them are ready for the first team yet so they should be loaned out as soon as possible.

Frankly I am more impressed with Townsend than either Livermore or Rose, neither of whom were much cop on loan. But like I say he is surplus ot first team requirements at the moment.

I think Tim has a different view on loans to Harry - he is more protective about loaning out players; unless he thinks they are physicaly and mentally ready and the club they are going to is the right fit, he would sooner keep them in the development squad. He is not particularly interested in finding out who is good at playing hoofball.

I would like us to keep Townsend and Falque as back up for Bale and Lennon. I see Krancjar as back up for VDV. Keep Rose as Back up for BAE. Send the rest out on loan.

Without knowing alot about how players 'develop' whilst in the development squad it's hard to say what the best approach is. Fergie seems to favour the loaning out approach and it's worked well with some players.

Maybe we should loan them to Spain (just generally)...that's got to be better than Doncaster.

There or Italy, leagues that are heavily technique oriented, albeit slower.

Some teams in the championship are really good footballing sides... You just need to look at watford and Reading to name a few.... All 3 of the newly promoted clubs are good footballing sides, so hoofball is a bit disrespectful to that league.

But i would like to see Carroll and Kane loaned out to premiership side or a top half championship side.

I think the OP is about right.

Kane seems to have come in for some stick on here, i really don't see why. OK he's not the finished article or the answer to our 3rd/4th striker cover issue just yet. But as a young player he's got loads of time ahead of him. I think he needed that goal last night for his confidence and i'd love to see him get some more playing time with a good footballing club.

Anyone got any ideas on why we have Falque by the way? was discussing this during the game yesterday, he doesn't look a bad young player - is there a view to buy him dependant on if he impresses? are we doing Juve a favour giving him minutes when he may not have had them?

I would like to keep Townsend. Livemore and Rose will definitely be staying.

I would say Carroll and Kane to go out on loan.

Would love to see Carrol at a PL club one who like to play football instead of the usual long ball dross, Swansea maybe as we should have a good relationship with them.

I read somewhere the other day that we've had offers, loans, for Carroll in January from other Prem teams.

Wigan or Swansea would be perfect.

Thanks Pinky (our bedroom name) will keep an eye on this, would rather he got 10-15 games there than a full season in the Championshit TBH.

Good summary, but imo no point in loaning out Carroll except to a Premiership side, and equally true for Townsend who last season was on Championship loans to Millwall and Ipswich.

IMO Krancjar and Falque are more cover for VDV than Lennon or Bale, but Townsend has a pretty similar playing style to Lennon/Bale. Problem now will be that wth only Premiership and FA cup, there are unlikely to be too many opportunities unless Bale or Lennon are injured.

I agree Spurs want to progress in Next Gen Series, but it will be concluded in January so after that, I think Kane, Fredericks, Stewart, Pritchard and quite a few others will be out on loan. However not sure about Luongo or Ceballos as otherwise they will not build up the time necessary to qualify for UEFA List B in the next couple of seasons.

IMO Parrett may have a future at Spurs and will be loaned, but Bostock's previous attitude on loans may mean he is gone at the end of this season when his contract ends.

He would come back with a dodgey neck watching the ball fly over his head week in week out .

Thing is, whilst Carroll is talented on the ball and we would all like him to play in a side that promotes a passing style, he does need to toughen up and be prepared to put his body to good use so a move ala Wilshere to Bolton may be more favourable for his long term development.

I might be in the minority here but I really don't see Carroll being at the level needed to slot into a Premier League midfield. Wilshere is younger, stronger and more talented, it pains be to say it but I think Tom Carroll would get completely bypassed. Hope I'm wrong.
