Much like the 'Golf' thread but, er, well it's about snooker!

Anyone play, how long have you been playing, what sort of breaks are you getting, what's
your highest and that sort of thing.

What with the weather being generally shit of late it's really
disrupting to my love of playing golf. So, I revert to my 'winter'
sport of dossing around in snooker clubs.

I love snooker but go long periods between playing - usually because I can't anyone to play with. I tend to play pool more as people find it less intimidating so its easier to find a partner.

Been playing both for years. At my peak in pool I could clear 9 and 8 ball racks in 1 go. My family live out in the US and I used to play in local tournaments when I was there. Also have a Meucci cue but its out there atm :(

At snooker I am very variable. The best i've done really is 4 or 5 reds/blacks or around 6 balls with other colours.

That's at my best though, I haven't played for many many months.

Been playing on and off for about 30 years.

My highest ever break was 37 and that was way back in the 1980's.

My club here in Hertford has a snooker room but I haven't played for about 2 years, when I was well I used to play at least twice a week, but now I barely go out once a week so I spend time chatting and gossiping instead.

I still have my cue in the club's cupboard should the notion take me.

I used to go round to a mates house when I was about
6/7 years old and play on his 6x3 slate bed table and I've been playing
fairly regular ever since. Worked in a snooker club in Bromley
on and off for about 6 years and managed to get loads of
practise before and after work. Plus they'd run junior and senior
handicap snooker comps with cash prizes being paid out.
They were fucking brill!!!

I used to play basically every day before I met the missus, culminating in winning the Division 2 County singles. I beat 5 members of the best team in the league on the way to the title, racking up a 49 break on the way (got a kick which left me out of position for the next red).

Still my proudest sporting achievement, havent played in a couple of years, and starting to miss it.

i reckon i play once or twice a week now at lunchtime as there is a snooker hall over the road form the office.

play to an "ok" standard. used to play a lot when at school and hit 30+ breaks quite a bit but never got past 37!

now probably hit one 20+ break if playing 3 games at a time at lunch as i do.

great game but also very frustrating!

I used to play when I was younger, maximum break bizarrely was 37 as well.

Had a mate who went semi pro, regularly scored century breaks. Played him a couple of times, don't know why I bothered really, although he did say I had a good cue action.

Probably about five years since I played though.

I used to play it three or four times a week when I was younger and I've been getting back into it lately, trying to play a couple of times a week.

My highest break isn't worth mentioning. It's all about the safety play.:hump:

I used to play a lot, highest break I ever had was 49.

Pretty shit, but I thought I was the bees knees back then, had my own cue and everything! But mostly played pool in pub comps and leagues and that.

I used to play all the time down Archway snooker club, usually in the middle of the night between midnight and 3am. Sweet memories.

The thing is... I'm left handed - but as in many sports/games I can play both left and
right handed - equally badly in both.

i.e.
darts
table tennis and tennis tennis
pool
wanking
Dunno about the Wii 'cos I've only tried bowling once, with my right. That was OK.

Snooker......a few years back, my Mrs beat me.....and then she pushed me onto the table and climbed on top of me...she pulled up her skirt and then she, very quickly, had my trousers undone.
I went to say something but she cupped her hand over my mouth and said "shhh"...the table light was swinging as she pulled up her top... and rubbed her hands over her breasts...nipples hard and erect...she then straightened her back and came down onto my cock..."You love this, don't you" she said...i pulled her hand away from my mouth and said, "yes... yes i do...."
Never, has potting the brown and pink, been so satisfying...

She asked if i wanted a game of darts a couple of nights ago...i declined, she had that look in her eyes again!

Back in the day I used to manage a snooker club in Bruce Grove. The free playing time in the small hours dragged my best break up to 50, before that I was master of the pot off 8 cushions.

here's a little snooker teaser for you all to try and work out...

What's the lowest total aggregate score in one frame of
snooker between 2 players?
A clue.... it's highly improbable.

Rep for whoever works it out first
