So..... I find myself in "The Scotsman" in Bergen, Norway, miles away from the game, able to watch it, but annoyed that I can't attend....
....but during the day certain events have transpired in the capital which bade well for Spurs tonight....
...fellow SC member Shakus, long term friend of mine, has taken ill, and so has his wife, leaving his match tickets to whoever is available to go.
Up steps my girlfriend of ten years, who slowly but surely has become the fully fledged THFC supporter I always wanted her to be.
Her record of attendance has been low this season since we had both been stationed here in Norway, away from our usual London address.
However, she has followed the Spurs with me all over Europe in the last few years and made numerous trips to WHL.
And do you know what........?
Spurs have never lost when she is in the stand.
Not once.
It seemed destined that Stoke were to fall short of the battle tonight and by half time the phone calls between us and the original ticket holders had one running theme.....
She must attend more matches.
But alas, she is unemployed and therefore unable to pay her way to anymore games.
What can be done to ensure my lucky mascot goes to the games?
Games that I will almost certainly fail to attend after being given another 3mth contract out here?
My friends and I are thinking of starting a fund to make sure she can attend as many home matches as possible.
Anybody spare a quid?
