I have no interest at all in so called celebrities. I swear that until a few weeks ago, when Paris Hilton was mentioned, I was convinced she was a French hotel. Honestly.

As for SWP, I wouldn't want to swap him for Lennon. I want them both. At the right price - £11m tops. But I still feel we need the elusive leftie more. Though I wouldn't say no to both. :) :)

And SWP is going to cost a damn sight more than £11m - more like £11m plus Chimbonda

I'm not sure about that, but something closer to £15m would seem more likely. He cost them £21m, which was totally crazy, but are even Chelsea going to take a £10m loss? I know they run on a business model which is wacko even by football standards, but that's surely a step too far.

Bottom line is they don't need to sell. If Sean actually knocks on the door and says he wants away then maybe it's a different story and even then the Club calls the shots.

i would say based on this transfer window and the 21 million they paid for SWP, they must be looking for 13-14 million i would think, not quite as much as Bent.

Petrov (apparently and according to one of the medical staff at Citeh that I know) is on £65k per week........ so that is why we did not sign him.

SWP is still under negotiation....... we have made two bids to Chavs which have not quite met their valuation of the player (that was as of Tuesday) nothing has happened since (possibly because of the Petrov situation)...

Now that has happened I expect more movement on the SWP negotiations.....

also

Contrary to popular belief he is not on as much as people think.......(I have seen what he earns with my own eyes!!!).......

If our wage structure is capped at £55k per week (Keano and King will be joined by Berbs on that eventually)....... SWP will not be the highest paid player at WHL........ that is all I am saying........

If that number is true for Petrov I can totally understand him choosing City over us. 65k a week is unreal. :eek:mg:

Don't really want SWP TBH. seems a waste of time with Lennon and Tarrabt/Malbranque as backups. Maybe he can play on the left but still would be scary to play Lennon and SWP in the same team, think if Defoe was playing as well, we might as well call ourselves Midget United instead of Tottenham.

Maybe Jol might be thinking of using SWP on the left.Plus he would be guaranteed 1st team football.

Sol Campbell?

What did Super Sol ever do to us??

He deserves a "Legends of the Lane" thread.

SWP by the way, won't come, seems to be having a blast on Chelski's tour, and rumours of him coming to us are apparently one of the biggest sources of mirth amongst their players, especially John Terry.
