I agree too. I think Sandro has grown with each game since AC Milan away. Superb.

I think, eventually, we'll change to the 4-2-3-1 formation which would suit him even more.

Could this be the future for us?

Can't understand Harry leaving him out...with our defensive record he is essential

One great striker next year and you'll see the whole team improve immeasurably

We're so unbalanced this year because we're compensating for no striker

He and Modric, in my opinion, are the two midfielders you definitely play when fit, no exceptions.

The question should be, who do you partner Sandro in the centre. If it's Modric, then you're free to play Bale, Lennon and Van der Vaart. If it's Huddlestone, then you have to sacrifice one of Bale, Lennon and Van der Vaart and push Modric forward.

Under no circumstances should we start with a midfield of Huddlestone, Modric, Lennon, Van der Vaart and Bale. All great players, but none offer proper protection for the defence. And it doesn't matter how poor the opposition supposedly is, you can't take for granted that they won't hit you on the counter attack and score a goal against the run of play.

And we've conceded far too many goals that could've been avoided this season if we had Sandro or an in form Palacios providing some real defensive protection.

I agree, the talent is there! That's the frustrating thing. On paper at least we're only a player, maybe two short of having the talent for a full on title challenge.

Obviously there are a few unknown quantities in the team I selected. We're not 100% sure if Kyle Walker's ready for the big challenge of nailing down the RB slot yet. I think he has a good chance though.

And that striker. Will we get one this time?! Who will it be?

Has Gallas got the legs for another full season at the top?

hope he has a great game but i think hes a red card waiting to happen today with his two brazillian buddys Luiz and Ramires against him especially with the pace of ramires! One miss timed tackle and he could be walking!.

Hes going to be pumped up he could hurt someone will be hillarious if its fat frank or John shaga wife :)

He won't get sent off... he's not a dirty player from what I've seen, and if he gets booked in the first half then he'll be subbed by Harry... only ways I could see it happening really is 1) two yellow cards in the second half or 2) last ditch challenge on the last man.

Unlikely. I'd say VDV, Dawson, Kaboul, Gallas all more likely to get sent off than him.

Im not saying hes a dirty player hes a great tackler but hes also a big guy and pretty nippy all it takes his him to lunge and it could be a horror story especially against somebody as quick as Ramires.

I just think sometimes hes his energy and aggression could go way over the top there was a moment in the west brom game where he done two brilliant tackles in row within seconds of each other if he does that today and just puts one foot to high with the chelsea crowd and undoubtley biased ref hes walking!.

I know it is early days, but if the club deals with him aright, he could be the midfield rock captain we have been praying for for over 2 decades.
