How can you chose between players that are hugely different ?

I understood that we could have afforded him but it was because of his wage demands why we didn't sign him

It's blatant we should have gone for him. We're sorely missing that bit of extra quality (possibly pace as well) in the final third

I was against spending 30 million on Sissoko but in his two appearances so far I can see that he brings something different with his powerful running on the right flank. Personally I wouldn't play him in a midfield two but maybe if we go 433 in any games he might operate more centrally at times.

With Mane, I didn't want us to spend 30 mill there either but I will admit we struggled to contain him when we played them and when he is on form he is a massive thorn in the side.

I am however fairly confident that Mane's form will be up and down over a season as it always has been so far in his career so I am not getting too excited about his good start. Same issue probably with Sissoko too and I would say Mane just shades it with his goals but I'm not sure there is a massive gulf in class between the two players or anything like that.

there's no hate for wanyama, just displeasure at him being paired with dier.
