Dear Lord, I don't ask for much, but please let Ryan Sessegnon be playing his football for Spurs this season.

Thank you, Amen.

P.S. I could also use the promotion at work.

I genuinely can't see us forking out £25m+ for a player we could have had for less than half that a month ago.

I can

It's not like the price was agreed and we said no. The price was never agreed. Also with Rose out for several weeks I dread to think what would happen if davies got injured whilst rose is still out

This guy is a key signing. Arguably more important then buying an established RB

RS and KWP we would be covered at full back for the next decade. RS has so much potential, pace, scores goals he would be the perfect long term replacement for rose. Let's be honest Rose will go for 50 million so it will be a great investment.

Buy now will be a hell of a lot cheaper than next season, esp if there is a sniff of Rose going for big money not to mention RS will have had another's year Exp.

If we buy him I'd consider loaning him back to Fulham for the year and then consider selling Rose next summer (unless required in a deal that bags us Martial this summer). The WC will be enough motivation for Rose to perform this season. Rose & Davies > Davies & Sessegnon.

If we were always going to loan out Josh Onomah to a Championship side I can't understand why we didn't offer him to Fulham instead of Villa to try to sweeten a possible deal, with the promise of another loan deal for one or two more young players from our acadamy or fringes of our squad.

How was it going to be for less than half of that a month ago? It would have been a tribunal fee and people could only guess what it would be. Can't see how you can say it was going to be less than half when absolutely no one knows what it would have been.

We offered him a contract as did Fulham and others and he chose Fulham. Possibly in order to stay there or possibly as a sign of good faith so Fulham could get an actual transfer fee rather than whatever the tribunal fee would have been.

All of that doesn't and shouldn't affect our interest. We should and reportedly do still want him even if we have to pay a transfer fee rather than a tribunal.

If he did that, it would show he has good character.

I can't believe some people think Sessegnon is ready to play in a CL quality side. Totally baffling

I dont but if he his not signed this window will he be attainable? His a player who in a year or twos time will be amazing.

Yeah sign him but all means.Great. But any suggestion he can replace Danny Rose this season is just fantasy land.
