I doubt he is just making it up. Doesn't mean it's true though. It's supposedly come from a coach of a PL team. So not from either our end or Fulhams.

It's essentially 3rd hand info.
Agree. As much as it might have come from a PL coach, who's to say they are ITK and not just passing on old info.

With the Rose outburst the club and Poch probably want him out, this leads to us having the dough and the need to splash on a new LB, being able to offer more playing time to Ses may turn his head enough to make the move now.

The guy on coys is only posting it on and does sound sceptical himself so I guess we will see. Hope it's true but I thought he was pretty emphatic he wanted game time there. Maybe the Rose situation and us not getting a pacey attacker in has changed things. We shall see.

I'm surprised people think this would mean selling Rose. He is not ready to replace Rose. At least not yet he isn't.

I think IF it's true then he will play further up field. In fact I think it's more likely he replace GKN than Rose.

I think Davis replaces Rose for teams we need to defend and sit deep against, and Sessegnon plays as a LWB against teams we're looking to dominate.

That said, I want him in addition to Rose as I think with the signing for D Sanchez and Barkley [fingers crossed] Rose can only leave us because of money, not ambition. Sessegnon will be the next Alli level player, let's throw him in the deep and and watch him swim.

Even prior to the outburst I felt we were in need of a third option at LWB, given Rose's seemingly increasing susceptibility to injury. Before now the likeliest solution to this problem, I thought, was for us to bring in a RWB renowned for also being comfortable on the left (Perreira, Toljan). However, if indeed we've decided to go balls to the wall and sign Aurier instead then it makes sense that we'd want to push ahead for Sessegnon now as well. Perhaps explains why it's cropped up again so late in the day.

We don't have a left-footed KWP in the ranks so Sess would provide us a nice safety net should Rose and Davies be simultaneously absent. We ought not to be in the position of shunting Jan or Wimmer out there anymore. Given his ability as a winger (would expect it to be his primary role for us initially) RS won't be left short on game time. It's all about squad management.

It's worth noting that every time the journos close to Spurs have denied stuff (pereira, kovacic and I'm sure more), nothing has happened, despite us thinking it's all games. The denial on sessegnon yesterday suggests immediate movement is unlikely (still could be a bluff).

No conversation, but just had a text "RS still on going ;) Parade on Sunday?" My opinion don't think the parade is necessarily for RS*

*I'm assuming this is Sessegnon - A&C

I think Rose starts over Davies more often than not provided he is at his best. Regardless though it's still a downgrade at this point selling Rose and signing Sessegnon. We should not even consider selling Rose in the same window as Walker. Maybe next year if Sessegnon hits the ground running this season. For now though I would see Sessegnon play further up field as we did with Onomah.
