Rose wins midfielder of the tournament whilst Oscar Jansson wins the Keeper's award in his category. This tournament included youth teams from Sevilla, Barcelona, PSV and Werder Bremen.

Anyway here's the full article lifted from the club site...

Our Academy squad almost made it a European double - but were runners-up in the Dusseldorf International U19 Tournament over the Easter weekend.

Alex Inglethorpe's squad - winners of the prestigious Eurofoot tournment back in August - made it to the final in Germany but were beaten 3-0 by Dynamo Moscow - a team, ironically, they had earlier beaten in the group stages.

It was the 46th staging of the tournament playing for the 'U19 Champions Trophy' and we were joined by Barcelona, PSV, Sevilla, Dynamo Moscow, BV O4 Dusseldorf, Fortuna Dusseldorf, Bayer Leverkusen, Kaiserslautern and Werder Bremen.

The tournament was split into two groups of five with the top two qualifying for the semi-finals.

We started well with a 2-1 victory against Werder Bremen (Kyle Fraser-Allen, Takura Mtandari on target) and 2-1 win against Dynamo Moscow (Jon Obika, Ryan Mason) before losing 2-0 to Sevilla.

However, a 1-0 win against Fortuna Dusseldorf with Danny Rose on target secured a place in Monday's semi-finals where we took on Kaiserslautern. Barcelona faced Dynamo Moscow in the second semi-final.

Our semi-final finished goalless and went to a penalty shoot-out. All our takers were successful as Ryan Mason, Alex Olsen, Calum Butcher, Yaser Kasim and Cian Hughton converted our first five, Oscar Jansson then saved Kaiserslautern's sixth and Kyle-Fraser Allen secured the shoot-out 6-5.

Into the final and Dynamo Moscow ran out 3-0 winners with goals in the ninth, 34th and 41st minutes.

So the lads brought home the runners-up trophy but had consolation prizes as Oscar Jansson and Danny Rose were named best goalkeeper and best midfielder of the tournament respectively.

I would love to see Danny Rose given a chance in the first team before the end of the season. I very much doubt it'd happen, but why not? O'Hara's done well when nobody gave him a hope and Rose possibly has more ability than him, so I think it would be a shrewd move to put him in and see what he can do on that left-side, which is still a problem. Ramos will probably wait until pre-season to give him a go though, unfortunately.

All good news. Inglethorpe has a decent reputation and I recall that Exeter City were not keen on him leaving at the time.

Good news all round, also glad to Jansson settling in, when he first arrived here he was pretty home sick and the club let him go but now it looks like he's over that.

I think theres every chance we could see Rose on the bench before the season finishes.

Yep, Inglethorpe was doing an excellent job at Exeter before we pinched him. Our youngsters are clearly in good hands.

I'm excited about Rose, he came with a good rep and certainly seems to be doing well in the academy.

That's right. That day, Has1978 and I were in the front row West Stand Lower where they warm up singing 'There's only one Danny Rose'

Perhaps he would be given a senior appearance or two before the
end of the season.

Really promising to hear us doing so well against some of europes best U19 sides. I seem to remember that Yuri Birchichie was player of the tournement at the last one as well. Ironic at a time when we have had right footers playing out of position for most of the season down our left that we have these talented players in those positions in the U19's/reserves. I would love to see these two in particular getting some squad action before the season's over.

Right on. I'm sure there's no end of SCers forming an orderly queue to start slagging them off the moment they put a foot wrong.

I'd like to be proved wrong but I would be very surprised to see Rose get a game between now and the end of the season. Maybe if we have a lead at home he might come of the bench but he isn't getting a start

i feel ramos should play him from the bench to reward him for some fine displays, it would also give everyone in the academy and reserves a huge boost

If he gets a couple of cameos between now and the end of the season it won't be as a reward (and certainly shouldn't be); it will be because Ramos and Clive consider he's up to it.

It just wouldn't be spurs chat if that wasn't the case

I should think O'Hara's exploits this season have been a real boost to those lads. It's good for them to know Ramos is watching and isn't afraid to give them a chance if they can prove they're ready.
