Sky Sports football just tweeted and it says that the Valencia coach doesn't believe Soldado will have his buy out clause met. Surely driving the price up making us pay it?

They're in massive debt. I'm not sure he's going to have a huge say in it if a good offer comes in for any of their players.

The meetings held Franco Baldini and Amadeo Except in a hotel in city of Valencia has resulted in an offer from Tottenham Hotspur to Valencia for 26 million euros plus 4 variables feasible. However, Amadeo Salvo has demanded 30 million net be no variables that cause the departure of Roberto Soldado of Valencia. The Board of Directors meets Valencia on Tuesday at 12 am to address this issue.

The player, whose speech had sailed the commitment and willingness to stay at Valencia, and has an agreement with the English, from which have triggered the events of the next reporting Cadena SER Radio Valencia throughout Monday July 22.

Isn't Champions League good for about £25-30m of additional income?

Say you spend £22m on Soldado with variables that can reach £30m.

You then pay him £100k/week (£5.2m/year)

If we end up getting 3-4 seasons of him banging in around 20 goals, that could really put us over the top and in my opinion makes us title challengers.

3-4 seasons = £100m on the low end of things for CL income.

-£30m if he meets the variables
-£5.2m x 4 years (£20.8m)

~ £49.2m profit off of a huge expenditure that could really be the tipping point for the club.
That just considering money from the competition, how many people around the world were introduced to spurs because of that one run in CL. Being in the champions league will increase the tottenham brand which may also mean increased sponsorship and etc. As well as better players and shit.

It does seem as though Valencia want the guaranteed cash now whereas we want to pay a lump sum and then installments which we believe they will get therefore guaranteeing them a valuation we see fit for Soldado.

Brinkmanship again.

I think I read that article on sky sports website earlier on before all this news came out of the Soldado meeting. Hopefully everything has changed since the Valencia coach said that.

Something about Spanish.

Same details. We want to pay 26 + add ons, they want 30m net guaranteed.

We're meeting again tomorrow to try and finalise it.

And then it goes on about how Baldini flew in this afternoon, and for me, the most encouraging bit is that he was chaperoned by Soldados agent. Which surely means personal details won't be a problem.

How does it pan out?

Baldini: 'Ok, I've got my finance guy with me and we say e25m.'
Valencia Guy: 'Nope, e30m'
B: 'I brought the guy with the cheques! e26m?'
VG: 'Getting close, I hear talk of add-ons, explain this.'
B: 'Iago Falque, you want him? Or a Brazilian Goalkeeper?'
VG: 'Meh, e30m up front'
B: 'Forget it e10m now, then e5m installments every 6 months for 2 years...'
VG: 'I am going to have to say ye... wait. Let's reconvene at 12pm tomorrow'
B: 'WTF? You were gonna say yes! Say YES now!'
VG: 'No... avail youself of the hookers and fine wine, see you tomorrow'
B: 'For fuck's sake, OK i'll take the 3 brunettes.'
Finance Guy: 'Can I have a hooker?'
B: 'No, you are admin. This is work, not play.'

Hahahaha!
