this deal makes no sense to me if bale is leaving. signing soldado says to me we want to go for it right now, if bale goes then going for it right now isn't realistic. he's 28, he's cost £26m, we're never going to get that back. if we knew bale was going then we should've signed benteke for the same amount, giving us a striker for the long term in a new team that would grow together.
