This is so incredibly unseprising. It's a shame as would have loved him. But he was never going to come.
Never heard of him before a week ago, so I'm not going to pretend I'm overly bothered.
We have talented kids of our own we don't give a chance.
Man I fucking hate it when I see that shit spewed out.
Who are these talented kids that you (and others) say (claim) are ignored ?
When could / should they have been played? Let me guess, in the League Cup or FA Cup? Only for us to have a negative result, then Poch would be slammed because he's a loser who doesn't take cups / silverware seriously.
We have either the youngest or second youngest squad in the league. How can such a thing even be possible if talented youngsters aren't given a chance?
Poch has not only stated it, he's proven that, if you train hard, show the discipline and effort that he demands, regardless of age, you'll be given a spot in the team / squad. Then, once the opportunity has arisen, it's all down to the player. Again, the youngest / second youngest squad in the league proves this.
KWP should have been given the 2nd right back slot instead of signing Aurier. Are you telling me Aurier is better than him based on what you've seen?
Onoamh should have been kept as a central midfield option over Sissoko. Onomah only requested to go out on loan because we wouldn't give him a chance in his natural position.
Edwards, lets not even go there. Most talented player we've had in years. We gave Premier League and Champions League game time to N'Koudou instead.
Griffiths has literally been on fire for the U23s this season, and as much as I think he's a bit of a belled on social media, you just know he won't be given a chance in pre-season and Llorente or even Jansen will probably get given a few minutes instead.
We've also just lost another talented youngster in Bennetts who left for Germany because he believed he wouldn't get a look in here.
Everyone would have flipped out around here if we went into the season with Trippier and KWP at RB. That is revisionist history to the highest degree. LOL to anyone saying they were fine with KWP starting Champions League games this last season. Thanks for the response, and the listing of the players. However, I repeat, it's all well and good sitting there saying "KWP should have been given the 2nd right back slot instead of signing Aurier. , or all the other statements / suggestions you made, but you don't see the players in training, their application, how they are with the senior squad members, how they integrate in team drills etc etc etc.
Poch and his coaching staff do and, as I've said, it's been proven that, no matter what the players age may be, if the application is there, the rewards will follow. Again, like I said, how can a club have the youngest / second youngest squad in the league if they don't give youngsters a chance?

Our work here is done.
Didn't do Liverpool any harm with Alexander-Arnold and Clyne. TAA is younger than KWP and has gone leaps and bounds this season. KWP was man of the match first game of the season and didn't play again till last game of the season where he got 2 assists. He even scored a goal as late subsitute. Would loved to see how he developed without Aurier around. Sure he'd make mistakes but Aurier is a walking red card every time I've seen him even before he joined us.
Winks was good against Real Madrid, I'd have had no hesitation playing KWP in bigger matches. Seeing TAA proves what can happen if you give young players a chance. Clyne was injured mostly too so he and Gomez did well rotating at RB. Liverpool deserve a lot of credit, I just wished we had faith in some of our young players instead of wasting money on average players like Aurier, Sissoko, Moura who are expensive, get little game time and will be difficiult to shift.
As for Puig wouldn't be disappointed if he doesn't come, he doesn't suit us and needs game time which he wont get here. He should stay in Spain like David Silva did at 23 and come to England if he still wants when he's developed as a player.
Not really unique to us though is it?Tottenham- Helping players secure improved contracts since 2008
