I see people giving Son 3s and 2s . Please tell me how he gets so high marks . Its not just out of form , its really not doing a thing for the team . So angry that a real trier like Lucas gets hooked and not this joker .

Disappointed in Mason putting on his mates too ,that's weak . I hear NDombele had a knock but Mason blew the enormous amount of luck we were having imo.

Lloris - 9 excellent
Aurier - 6 mostly ok, but gave away the match deciding situation .... again ...
Toby - 8 *
Dier - 7 decent
Reguilón - 5 not really using his bran is he?
Højbjerg - 5 deserve 2 as a footballer, but he did a tactical job in second half
Winks - 4 our midfield was terrible, you'd think Winks's style of play mean he's the one to organize it, the 3 was so flat and lacking depth
Lo Celso - 4 meh, shame about that shot
Lucas - 6 ok he work, can create breaks, but City are masters of professional fouls
Son - 1 He's empty, done. If we had the staff for it I'd do a serious analyse of him to decide if he can fill his tank with a season break
Kane - 6 Not at his best, no support though, did well when he dropped down but no one around him to play to.

Sissoko 0 well, when Bale didn't work then getting Sis on was pointless. Dele for Son alone would probably have been better in hindsight
Bale 0
Bergwijn N/A
Dele N/A think he could have had a good game coming on earlier though, not really given a chance in this one

People digging out Aurier. Reggie miles worse today. Been a shell of himself since coming back from injury

How does Ndombele & Lamela not get on the pitch

Unfuckingbelievable

I feel the negativity in the match thread as well as what's in the Ratings thread so far are abit overblow.
We lost to the beat team in the country by 1-0. Our form has been so bad we got Mourinho sacked about a week ago.
A defeat was an expected outcome. Need to put things into perspective.

Lloris and the entire backline did well. Toby was outstanding and deserved at least an 8; my MOTM.
Our defensive shape looked good throughout, and like @Bulletspur had said, Sterling did skin Aurier a few times but that's part and parcel of being up against a better player; but I still think he did well overall.

I think Mason actually did ok in this department; the defence is set up correctly, and the game-plan was obvious: essentially we park the bus aka Mourinho and hope that we can hurt them on the counter. This relied on keeping the score-line level, because the moment you are down by 1-0 you would have to 'come out'; and for this reason he stuck with more defensive-minded midfielders (Winks + Sissoko) over Ndombele. It made sense. Ndombele has been in bad form and if he loses the ball in midfield, it would be difficult to recover.

On the flip side of the coin, we offered essentially nothing going forward. Lucas was the only one who showed for the ball, as he always does. Son was awful, Kane was better but in the end we barely created anything.

However I think our impotency up front was to be expected; Mason couldn't be expected to improve us up front when Mourinho has failed over the entire season.

Move on from this.

Lack leadership in midfield. Peh was supposed to be the leader but wasn't today. A **** next tanguy and or glc would improve their consistency massively

Nothing we didn’t already know. There are a few stars in the side. The rest looks rotten.

Very odd team selection though. Others have mentioned where and I agree.

Shame to go down without any sort of fight. But pathetically predictable.

This side is totally broken, and everyone knows it. Especially Kane

Serge? Gainsborough I presume.

Nope, he's gonna get down voted because emotions are high. But it was a nothing foul that happens dozens of times in a game of football.
It was a simple set piece to defend in the end , other than that he was good, way better then reg

Alderweireld, easily. If we won we'd be celebrating his performance for years.

Got to go all out for fourth now which is still possible looking at respective fixtures.... then could be a very interesting summer for lots of different reasons depending on outcome...........

Lloris 8 shot stopper MOTM
Aurier 4 sloppy and lacklustre
Alderweirald 7 thought he defended very well, not great on the ball
Dier 6 average
Reguilon 3 absolutely woeful, 2021 he’s turned into a shadow of himself
Hojberg 6 does what he does, busy
Winks 5 didn’t do anything of note, a typical Winks performance
Lo Celso 4 tepid, rolls around too much
Moura 7 our best attacker, should’ve stayed on
Son 2 worst performance in a Spurs shirt, confidence? Head turned? Shit now?
Kane 6 clearly not fit, think he goes this summer

Sissoko LOL

Mason 4 got it horribly wrong with substitutions and tactics, don’t blame him at all.

Levy 0 Thus guy is why we’re in this mess ENIC OUT!!!

Son’s form has gone the way of Ericksen when he was with us. I’d venture a guess that he is seriously thinking about not signing the contract we’ve offered him and moving to pastures new.

Loris and Toby were fantastic today. Dier was very good bar that one misplaced pass. Lucas tried but didn’t have much support, and Kane had a couple of moments in the second half. Everyone else sucked monkey balls.
