You expect to win a cup final against Man City, but you keep our most potent player against Man City in recent years on the bench, and didnt even bring him on as a sub? I am talking about Lamela

How the hell (other than his name and distant reputation) can you bring on Dele who has not been at the races for a couple of years?

Winks and Sissoko in the midfield. I know Ndombele has not been quite on form recently but he would be more effective in starting attacks than either Lo Celso or Winks. Winks did nothing offensively.

Son who has not been at the races for several games, was even worse today but is kept on, and Lucas our only player who was making it difficult for them was taken off

I applaud the defence even though Aurier was in Sterlings pocket, but he did make some timely interceptions where they could have scored earlier

Mason, you are out of your depth for now, but you may get better

I think its adios from Senor Kane and co next season and I cannot blame them

Lloris my MOTM

[EDIT] I said it then, but as we had come this far down the road him, we should have kept Mourinho until after the cup final. He has a reputation as being good in one off games

Gave it Lloris. Still the best shot-stopper in the league.

Poor performance overall. Not aggressive enough when we needed to be, summed up by the ridiculous Sissoko decision.

Son, poor. Kane, unfit. Just one final when he’s in full fitness. Just one.

Mason 1 ... Winks and Sissoko have been showing for years that they are not up to a team with aspirations ... and he gives them the opportunity in the most important game in a long time. And Ndombele? PEH playing like box to box, all very strange ..

Look forward to Sissoko, Winks, Aurier etc all getting (yet another) chance under the new boss when Levy refuses to sell them this summer.

Could excuse the game plan up to the 60th minute and it almost worked but putting Sissoko on instead of Ndombele, effectively extinguishing any attacking hope we had, was utter negligence from Mason. After that, the reaction to the goal was piss poor. Barely any intensity and most of them looked like they didn't give a fuck.

This team, bar Kane, Lloris, Toby and Moura (today) have a fucking pathetic mentality. Moan all you like about being up there with the big boys but perform like that in a final and you don't deserve any fucking trophies.

Lloris MOTM. Toby and Dier did well to keep score down.

Reguilon, Son, Sissoko all had a mare.

Gave it to Lloris because he kept us in the game.

Not many other players got beyond a 5 & I think Ryan's sub's were poor.

Just about how I saw it as well. The only thing Aurier made a dumb fowl but he was responsible for us not conceding at least two more goals. I would give him a 6.

Didn’t lay a glove on them. Dreadful

I was embarrassed having a boy like Mason leading us out for a Cup Final

At least Levy saves a few quid. Quite unbelievable

Tactics and plan looked pretty non existent and our substitutions were a joke

Very sad and passive performance. Feel sorry for those poor sods who went today and had to witness that gutless display

In a weird, desperate, clutching-at-straws kind of way, maybe losing this final was the best thing for the future of Spurs.

Had we won it would've just papered over the fact this squad needs a complete ruthless gutting. You can't have guys in your squad that forget to mark at set pieces, or players whose first touches go out for goal kicks, or players that can't make 2 yard passes under no pressure and expect to be successful.

Burn it all to the ground and start again.

Really hard performance to take, just seemed like we always had on the back of our minds 'let's not have a hiding here'.

Lloris, Toby & Lucas the only players I felt played well overall.

Whilst others had small moments we were just never at the races. Sissoko, Winks, Son & Reguillon were abysmal.

Cannot believe Lamela and Ndombele did not get a minute.

Hugo - 9 - saved us from slaughter really.
Aurier - 6 would have been an 8 if it wasn't for yet another completely insansely unnecessary foul that led to yet another goal. Is that the 3rd time this season?
Dier - 7 Did well apart from another diabolical misshit pass that almost cost us
Toby - 8.5 crucial blocks and read the game well
Reguilon - 4 moronic yellow card, not providing enough going forward.
PEH - 5 Nowhere to be seen 1st half, slightly better 2nd
Winks - 3 pointless player
Lo Celso - 4 one good shot, rest shite.
Lucas - 7 was actually playing well, ridiculous sub by Mason
Son - 0 nothing positive to say about that performance - everything he did was shit.
Kane - 4 only been out a week but looked like he had been out the usual 3 months after an injury.

Manager taking off the two players who are pushing us forward, at a point where we were finally passing a threat, was mental.

Sissoko being allowed to do anything more than the drive the team bus is mental (even then he’d drive it backwards, refuse to cross at T junctions/ cross roads and never be able to turn into another road).

Winks being kept on the pitch despite being nowhere near the ball at any given time as a midfielder was mental. All the people hammering the recent Ndombele performances can shove this up their collective arse.

Son yet against being unable to control or pass a football, totally at odds with his excellence in striker a football, was mental.

Their winning free kick coming from exactly the same situation that Reguilón was denied one moments earlier was mental.

Laporte scoring from that free kick when he shouldn’t not been on the pitch was... well quite predictable actually.

Højbjerg having our best chance and choosing to point it into touch before screaming at Reguilón for his own mistake was mental.

Mason going full Mourinho was mental.

Lloris, both centre backs, Højbjerg, Lucas and Kane showed up. The rest were ****s.

As others have said, Lloris and Toby both very good.

I’d have been crying after a performance like that as well if I was Son, he had an utter stinker and couldn’t even give a simple 5 yard pass.

The subs killed us, Moura should’ve stayed on and Bale didn’t get a sniff (plus it meant we felt Sissoko was needed to provide a screen for him.

once again an unnecessary foul given away by Aurier and Sissoko doesn’t pick up his man from the resulting free kick. Where have I seen them at before?

Clear the decks and start again I’m afraid.

Only saw 2nd half but this is my blinkered points award

Lloris 7.8 not at fault for the goal
Aurier 6
Toby 7
Dier 6.5
Reguilon 5.5
Winks 4
Lo Celso 6.8 (not quite 7)
Hojbjerg 6
Moura 7
Kane 6.5
Son 5

Mourinho 4 - we only conceded 1 against a superior team (would have been a 5 but for playing Winker)
