Comfortable win with encouraging performances to individual players. We were wasteful in possession. We need to play with more composure as with a stronger side we would have been in trouble.

My main disappointment is Vinicius not scoring while playing well.

Anyway, good win and three points.

Not my MOTM - Doherty
My MOTM - Lo Celso

Not sure I agree re Vinicius playing well, thought he was pretty poor and looked very frustrated towards the end. Early days though.

Outside of that, Bale looking much sharper and Holjbjerg is just excellent. Job done, big game on Sunday.

Vinicius didn’t play well

Sissoko my MOTM. Drove us forward, always looked for the ball, never hid

Not the greatest player but has the strongest mentality

We were dreadful 2nd half. Should be winning that game 0-5 at least.

Oppo were bloody awful

The problem with CV right now imo is his thinking/anticipation isn't at the speed his teammates are playing at.

While I get voting for GLC on this one, I went for PEH, because especially after they got their goal, he went all Ngolo Kante in midfield. I like the fact that he's getting a better chemistry with both GLC and Ndombele, match after match.

I thought Sissoko did better 1st half than PEH 1st half. Was a major factor as to why the team did much better first half as opposed to 2nd

Obviously Kane instead of Vini is also a massive factor but it’s still the way I saw it

GLC. Yeah sloppy at times, but should’ve had 3 or 4 assists with pinpoint final balls to Kane and vini. Generally used the ball really well and was progressive. Great linkup with son to score and picked up a lot of dangerous positions on the edge of the box. Always love and appreciate his work rate.

Davies was poor, very mediocre opposition and his passing was dreadful

I think he's good enough as a rotation option, so as to make sure Reguilón doesn't get overplayed, and I think it's better to judge him under that light.

Vinucius should have scored and easy chance and was on his heels from a Stevie cross and he field to hold the ball up sometimez, I feel he needs to do better in this situations, that is literally what he wwd bought for.

Most of the regulars produced something somewhere within their usual range for this season, except Winks who was better than usual first half and worse than usual second half, and Lucas who was generally very good and produced a set piece I didn’t know he had in him. Only really worth commenting on those who’ve played less this season:

Hart couldn’t do anything about the goal and has little else to do being the elementary, but my God does he have a pair of pipes on him.

Lo Celso linked up well, pressed well (I’m surprised at Mourinho’s comments) and made a good run for his goal.

Bale looked good, lovely free side rule passes including for Kane to assist Lucas, and he did well blocking passing lanes and tracking back off the back. Far more involved tonight.

Bergwijn had a bit more purpose about his play and caused some threat, and would’ve assisted with a sharper striker to cross for.

Vinicius presses well and has a few nice links both out wide and down the middle., but his early miss seemed to knock him and afterwards he seemed to stop attacking space. Needs a goal.
