The best I have ever felt supporting Spurs was this season when I was buzzing when we were on top of the table for about four weeks and every thing was going to plan which included being in all cups and winning top position our group in the Europa Cup

The worst I have ever felt supporting Spurs was this season where we eventually ended up 7th, beaten in a cup Final (again) and more than likely losing our best player and West Ham finishing ahead of us.

Matt Doherty, I have never rated you but today I will give credit where its due as you were one of our better players, well played.

Harry may end up winning the golden boot but we wont even have that bragging right if he was to leave. His new club would claim that they "have the Golden Boot winner playing for them"!

A good win eventually but one pleasing aspect of that game was the Leicester fans. When they were winning they were giving it all that. The picture on those same faces when they lost was priceless!!

I will give Bale MOTM as he did in his 15 minutes in terms of attacking than some did in 90 minutes.

I thought Doherty was really good today. Funnily enough would say Winks was probably the next best. Strange how that goes.

Won't fault anyone for taking Bale though. Went with Doc myself.

90 minutes that were largely our season in a nutshell.

a) If opposition are playing half-decently and ready to battle, we very often look a rubbish team.

b) But if the opposition is passive, or wide open, or start shitting their pants like Leicester today, or have a meltdown eg. Utd or Southampton earlier in the season, in other words not at the races..... and give our talented players time and space to operate we can score lots of goals.

c) Whoever we select, we're far too easy to play against and play through as a team, are not organised enough and frankly don't work hard enough in this aspect.

d) We're no nearer to a secure, consistent, and established defensive line.

Now we need to reset, put the foundations in place and start putting the pieces of the jigsaw together going forward. You can argue the toss about who is amazing, who is crap, who is to blame, who should stay, who should leave, who should play in what tactics, etc etc etc. It's not the most relevant point that needs addressing.... The no.1 issue to be resolved is that we've gone back to being fair-weather Tottenham, who can play on a good day against generous opposition but that's about it and we struggle to repeat it, especially against anyone decent and will ultimately never get near to achieving anything with that attitude and ethos. Keep saying it but before anything else we need much higher standards, less excuses, and a team/squad of players who can and will give you everything each week with hard work, aggression, intensity, and have rock solid foundations that you then play football from.

Whatever your thoughts on the ECL, Chelsea etc, it felt nice to come back and win a game so impressively, especially with the backdrop of Leicester fans being utter pricks, and Sky selling Kane every second sentence.

Doherty has played himself into a second season. I’m going to miss Bale and, hell, first goal aside, Sanchez was good.

Been a shite season. Let’s never talk about it again

Bale was MOTM for making it all look so easy. He was always in space and when he got the ball he also got his head up. He also made several really good runs that were not spotted. Son, Bergwijn and Moura could all learn a lot from him.

I gave it to Winks. He was moving the ball around and at least trying to connect defence and attack. When he did finally start finding the passes we ended up with 3 more goals. But that fcuking challenge after his cock up was a thing of beauty.

I thought Kane didn't do much today other than the assist and goal. And I'll be honest, I was happy with that because it means he just stays up top instead of dropping deeper. We had a target. But he only did it in the last 15 minutes and it made a huge difference

Bale and Lucas coming on made us more direct. I thought Bergwijn did well but with no target man it's difficult. I think a summer with good coach with clear ideas will benefit him, and also a target man to play off.

The rest was ok. Sanchez started playing better once he remembered he could defend and put in some good challenges late on.

Mason was 4 before his subs but a 7 after them. The one thing main 3 needs to learn to stop his having favourites. Son needed bench time but he started again. It's clear he wants to get us playing but our players don't have the legs anymore. It's clear conditioning has gone backwards.

Winks but only just... Doherty played well, as did Bergwijn - bale showed his class and son needs a good rest...
Reguilon gave the ball away as usual but came good in the end, Lucas running into trouble constantly. Didn’t quite come off today for dele but at least he was trying.... who knows if we see HK again....... still want to know about GLC AND NDOMBELE

Bale for me because he turned up when we needed him and won us the game but big respect for Doherty who was very good today in a very shaky team.

I feel sorry for Sanchez today. He played ok, and that was NEVER a penalty. It was an outrageous decision and blatant cheating from Vardy. As for MoM, I dunno. Probably Bale.

Sometimes the commentators lead you down a path that a player is “being ran ragged”, but watching it, I don’t think he that bad, made some excellent clearances for the team. Vardy resorted to cheating to win the penalty.

100%

For my own part I wasn't overly fussed about the game and whether or not we made 7th. The first penalty I moaned a bit but made my peace with it, and I didn't wildly cheer the equaliser. But that fucking disgraceful decision, perhaps the worst penalty decision in the entire season for any club, lit a fire in me, I was raging and cheered like mad for both our second and third.

And I may be projecting a bit here but I felt the players reacted similarly to me. The sub of Bale and Moura helped of course but the last half hour we were pretty good. We've been terrible at pinning teams back for so long it was really nice to see that we managed that.

Bale and Doc probably our two best on the day. And I won't blame Hugo for not diving for the second penalty, there is actual statistical research that shows that if a player takes two penalties in a match the chances of them trying to blast the second down the middle is disproportionately high so I guess that's what Hugo was thinking. He just looks silly because Vardy went to a corner.

I didn’t see the game, just about to watch the recording I set but to come in here and see Winks and Doc getting votes in the poll makes me think I’m in a twilight zone!

The bar is so low for these players that people are overreacting. Winks passed directly to Leicester players under no pressure about ten times leading to counter attacks. He was the worst midfielder on the pitch. It was one of his best games this season.
