Son just edged, but Alli was sublime. Alli's ball control is phenomenal at times, he just goes past players with ease at times. What a talent. Son's best game in a while.
But sometimes he finds it difficult to control basic passes and fumbles the ball. But yeah last night he was superb

I’ve criticised Pochettino a lot (by my standards) this season as I’ve felt that even with the injuries and World Cup fatig, we had it in us to play more fluidly, with more incision, with more creativity. After today I’m forced to admit I was wrong, because my what a difference it makes when the front men are back to full fitness and looking sharp. Today we played so well that it was hard to feel the usual aggression and tension that I’ve brckme accustomed to against Chelsea, because we dominated them as I’d have expected to were they a poor Championship side. 3-1 massively flattered Chelsea and today showed that good coaching and tactics are of far greater value than any superstar signing. It all just clicked into gear, let’s hope it’s jhst the start.

Lloris claimed crosses with authority, same out well when needed, made all the routine saves and one world class seemingly impossible stop from point blank range. Fantastic.

Aurier was a tiny bit sloppy on the ball early on but he grew into the match and started using the ball far better. Off the ball he was great with some lovely tackles and interceptions.

Foyth was overall composed and calm, brought the ball out well, used his pace well and stood up to aerial challenges. Lucky not to give away a penalty with a rash challenge.

Alderweireld blocked, intercepted and was good in the air. Some great passes and organised well.

Davies linked up well going forward and made some nice driving runs, he passed incisively and he was solid overall in defence. However, he should have been charging down the cross for Giroud’s goal and instead just gave a token jump and twist.

Dier defensively was good, offensively he played a few decent long range passes but also dallied a few times getting caught in possession. Dropped between the centre backs well.

Sissoko was brilliant, tracked back very well and drove us forward constantly. Once he’s on the run he’s actually quite skilful and quick footed, and while his passing is still safety first, he’s started making clever safe passes to players who will have the opportunity to hurt the opposition. Deserved and assist for his part in Kane fluffing from close range

Eriksen has a very good game, everything he did hurt Chelsea. He was out wide, in the middle, up front and deep lying all in one, I’d love to see his heat map. Two assists, okay the second is by default but the first was from a lovely cross. Great pressing too.

Son was clearly very sharp, and his pace and skill throughout were key; especially on the counter. Unlucky not to score from Kepa’s great save, wasteful because of poor decisions twice, but eventually scored a sensational goal.

Dele was superb, beautiful header to score, wonderful pass to set Son off, great pressing and hard work through out and was inventive all game. Loved seeing his impetuous side again, really irked the Chelsea players. Really should’ve scored to make it 4 after great linkup with Kane but that aside he was wonderful.

Kane was my man of the match, and I think that the only reason he isn’t running away with the vote is that we expect greatness from him. Any other striker would have been motm with that performance, his goal was lovely, his passing and hold up play was exceptional and his work rate was relentless. This was Kane almost at his best, only falling short because he fluffed the an easy chance. Lovely hard hit goal though.

Lamela looked good, sharp and skilful with the usual energy.

Winks barely had time to get involved.

This is the same sort of treatment Toby is getting, he's just so consistently fantastic his performances are getting over looked. He's back to his best.

Great performances all round. Sissoko was fantastic again. Credit to him, he is becoming a key squad member.

Amazing to have Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Son all playing together again. They clearly love playing together.

All our attackers are fit and all will want to be playing, so good for us to have options and players desperate to get in the starting 11.

Sissoko was everywhere, the guy deserves a lot of praise for his efforts recently.

Well played Poch for a tactical performance of the highest calibre today

It seems like the whole season has taken a massive step forward. So many positives.

THAT was the performance we have all been waiting for.

Swoon ?

I completely agree that he is a sublime athlete and an ok footballer. But so is Usain Bolt.

I’m really not knocking Moussa btw. I think his performances have been laudable recently. But that final ball.... it can’t ever be truly good enough....surely.

Except he has improved at this recently. A great assist against West ham, and he laid one on a plate for Kane today, which 99/100 times Harry would have tucked away.

This is a good read: https://news.google.com/articles/CA...CAowzdp7ML-3CTC8yxU?hl=en-GB&gl=GB&ceid=GB:en

Great performance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Jorginho goes to brush his teeth tonight and dele is in his bathroom standing between him and the sink.

Nonsense , he set kane up superbly but kane missed and his final ball for lamela against west ham wasn’t bad. Usain bolt is an awful footballer don’t give sissoko any discredit and compare the two

Sissoko just gets it for me, but what a performance from the whole team. Outstanding!

How does David Luiz get a game, what a crab.
He turns his back towards Kane when he has a shot and scores, then stands and watch's Son glide past him for our third goal.
Rubbish defender.

Thought David Luiz played perfectly for Spurs to win. ?

Hard to pick a MOTM from so many great performances. It was clearly our best overall performance of the season, and it is comforting to know we can still pick up the points when we're not playing at this level.

I went for Son because of his absolute drive to score and make attacks. He missed a couple of chances earlier on, but the skill and vision for his goal were simply brilliant. And Chelsea don't concede many like that. I usually love to see a team move dismantle the opposition, but Son scored a goal that will give the defence nightmares and it will be played again and again in training. It will haunt Luiz and the rest.

Toby and Harry Kane were at their best, and were probably our most important players. I take them for granted a bit because our strong recent PL seasons have been built on their consistency. Brilliant players.

Vintage performance from the Poch era. Dele was superb, as were others. But for me Kane was exceptional; scored a lovely goal but his link up play was world class, combining dangerous centre forward play with incisive playmaker skill. Chelsea couldn’t get to grips with him. A truly brilliant footballer

Poch MOTM for me, had Sarri on toast from kick off. Dele on Jorginho was perfection, Son was such a threat up top with Kane. If Poch continues to improve on this side of the game I'm convinced we'll win things. He's clearly world class on the training ground (look at mega Moussa Sissoko).

He even played a blinder after the game, clearly concerned about complacency after such a big win, he praised players the attitude rather than being negative like at OT.

This 4-3-1-2 shape could be the new go to formation for us in big games.

Every player at least an 8. Dele is just so imperious in these big games he probably would have edged it for me. We all know Toby and Eriksen are class. Foyth, Sissoko and Aurier real starting contenders now. Son fresh again. Dier and Davies back to their best level. Hugo solid when called upon. Kane is god.

That was fun, cheers to Poch and the boys.

Wouldn't say a distance, but the game was won in midfield and I thought he was solid and the main player that we went through creatively.

Gave Jorginho hardly anything at all, passed well, won fouls, plus an assist and a lovely header. Sissoko mostly stopped Chelsea (very well), but I personally thought Dele had it all last night...although it was close IMO.

Sissoko’s mental strength and Poch’s ability to coax the best out of him at a time when we’re desperate for support in central midfield are marvels of the modern age

Seriously?

He put a chance on a plate for Kane with the “final ball” after yet another powerful run.
He’s improving game by game and should have a number of assists had our finishing of his good work been up to scratch.

Shame Moura didn't get a run at them, but understandable under the circumstances. I think he would have pushed their panic button.
