It’s not related to raphina but I had a top well respected sports journo contact me the other day as spurs currently are not giving a sniff way on there dealings on his side . That’s a positive for me .

And it’s not fabrizio before anyone asks
Was it Matt Law?......

....oh wait, sorry, you said "respected"

?

Literally every other post is saying we are now acting like a big club. Signing world class players! and dropping last years players. It’s embarrassing tbh. Entitled springs to mind.

. Encouraging names linked? Wow.
Thing is if someone told me we had signed a good midfielder from a mid table club, a 33 year old from Europe and a keeper on a free it would feel more like the Hoddle and AVB years. I mean they are good players but it’s not really showing amazing ambition that some people say we are doing. We were signing these sorts of players such as palacios, bent and Bentley who had all ripped it up for mid table teams. Or older players like Ziege and Poyet.
I mean Bissouma is class as is perisic no doubt but i think this shows that our pulling power isn’t what it is yet to make us title contenders. Feels more like signings to be competitive in both the league and play respectably in CL rather than title challenge. We need to go back more to the Bale and Modric type of signings.

It took 3 years for Bale to start to turn into the player we hoped he would

It took Modric a season to get used to the PL.

Yes, we can keep an eye out but you win titles by making smart signings, either players who are well established or players who are going to the next level - Forster and Perisic the former, Bissouma the latter.

Can't disagree with that. All 3 are good additions absolutely but I feel we should be finishing the window with higher quality than all 3 for it to be deemed a great one. Conte, top 4 etc should be seeing some big guns come in for me to feel the same.

I'm satisfied so far but we absolutely do require a few gems to come in.

Bale was a 17 year old kid from the championship wasn't he? Modric was a pretty big signing though.

But Bissouma and Perisic are big signings too! Bissouma is a £50m player easily, and Perisic was one of the best players in Serie A last season.

Plus again, let's judge things at the end of the window. I'm still confident that we have a big signing or two on the way.

Kane Son and Kulusevski are still all better than what Arsenal could put out, so chill. Perisic too.

Plenty of other quality attackers out there.
Last few pages has just been a bunch of people “concerned” or “worried” about us not signing Raphinha and him going to Arsenal. Even if he does, we’ll still finish above them!

Too many people being effected by Arsenal's Twitter idiots and not looking at what we've done.

We have significantly strengthend in 2 key areas.

No but shit like this tends to insult pretty much every member, which is why your posts stand out.
You often seem rather negative and somewhat over the top.
Often?? I haven’t posted much in the last 3 months. Wont be bothering again. And yes you’re all sounding entitled. All of a sudden conte is going for the title etc. Jesus. Bissouma and Perisic are gonna propel us to the title? I’m old enough to know how this window will end. And if I’m wrong I will put my hand up and admit it. I dont go about the forum slagging off and just leaving bad responses everywhere. Which I also believe is a bad thing. And a bad choice. crap idea in this day and age.

If Raphinha is one of our marquee signings would people be happy? 65 mil seems a lot for a player I deem good rather than amazing. He's never wowed me, and him signing for Arsenal might be a blessing in disguise.
It would be humiliating, and they would crow about it, but I'm really conflicted due to the financials of the deal.

Depends which bit you want to highlight I guess. You chose the bit you preferred

You're making up facts and then arguing against them. A good old Friday night straw man argument.

If anyone is coming across as entitled, I'm afraid it's you. Just chill man, let's see where the window falls, I'm sure most of us here are confident of it being successful come the end.

That is not entitlement, that's called being hopeful. The 'woe is me' posts by you are tiresome, of course people are going to attack you if you go round calling large swathes of the forum entitled and 'not proper fans'.
What? ?. Jesus Christ. The bollocks spouted in here that is backed is unreal. I am chilled. I’m not keen on signing Raphinia anyway. I’ve said in earlier posts. But if the manager wants him and we lose out then that is not my issue it’s the clubs mentality. If he goes to Arsenal over us then that tells you all you need to know…. If he’s no1 target and goes their. What’s changed?

I’ve never watched a Leeds game and thought wow! He looks amazing either.

You have your right. Others have theirs to call it out. This place is full of positivity which is why your view currently sticks out. You can have your view. But it doesn’t get laminated and protected from critique.
I’ve loved what we’ve done so far. Truly. Great we’ve got Bissouma in. And I am positive. I’ve bet my Liverpool mate we will finish above them this season. My point was if we are acting big and want Raphina then we as a big club acting big shouldn’t lose him.

If he goes to arsenal it can only be because we chose to look elsewhere. There's no choosing arsenal over Tottenham. The rest is gravy

Hahaha.....no ways. Anyways Gibbo I've followed the last few pages. Fair dues to you on sticking to your guns. I actually understood your original post... we've made some signings. A free from Italy and Bissouma (who I think is a fantastic signing by all accounts) We have Paratici on board and I've thought we'd be further down the road on our plan.... target A rejects you...move on to B and get him signed up. That's what you seemed to be saying. Not negative and neither impatient.

The transfer window is still young. We all hope we come out stronger more balanced than we went in.

Lastly so many posters can't accept a view which is a bit measured and circumspect....the reactions to you were down right condescending follow.your.own.advice etc..... and the use of ratings( herd mentality) to beat you down.

Damn saying all of this..... I've just realized you might have me on ignore :cautious: :X3::ROFLMAO:.

Edit...the bugger has me on ignore. After I've defended him...let the abuse rain down. (n):sneaky:
