Half Time:

Burnley 0 - 3 Arsenal
Spurs 0 - 1 Everton

At Turf Moore: A dodgy pen, a scrambled in-off-the-arse job, & one in the 8th minute of injury time after Burnley's captain took time to be stretchered off
At WHL: Dodgy pen & worldie performance from their keeper. Toby off with a twisted knee. Everyone else looking knackered.

Come on you Spurs.

In your spare time do you stick long needles under your fingernails ???

The amount of deafetist attitudes here, whether joking or not, is ridiculous. That Newcastle result came after different circumstances. We had lost a title race in the most brutal way at Stamford Bridge. We are now in a CL semi final and not lost anything, but gained something this time. Yes, it was under Poch and the same playing staff. However, they have all grown mentally overall since then. Have some faith for goodness sake. We went to the Etihad and scored three away goals! We were minutes away from being knocked out of the champions league on matchday four and here we are.

Michael Owen was bang on when he said the fans need to change mentally. We have top four all but confirmed and you are all mentioning eight goal swing which involves sides that have barely scored a goal between them in recent weeks. Burnley's second half of the season form plus Arsenal's away form tells me we're fine. And if anything we are more likely to finish 3rd above Chelsea than drop out.

Not only is it extremely unlikely that we get beat at home by 4 or more goals, it is almost just as unlikely that Arsenal beat Burnley at Turf Moor by 4 or more goals. Strange things happen but the chances of both of those highly unlikely things happening is remote enough to entitle us to feel quietly confident that we'll be playing Champions League football again next season...

I think we’ve only ever lost 1 game at home under pochettino by a 3 goal margin and that was August 2014 to Liverpool 3-0. We’ve never lost by a 4 goal margin at home.

I’d be tempted to put a pound on the latter, just to see how they’d go about paying me 0.05 pence!

Knew you'd come round to my way of thinking in the end. We'll be fine. Smash that Piggy bank and spend that nugget my dear fellow. (y)

Cheer the funk up you lot, there's no way we're missing out on 4th.

And then we'll lose in the CL qualifiers.

Financially I think there’s quite a big difference between coming 3rd and 4th. Via the PL it’s only £1.9m. But it will effect how much our cut of CL money is next year. No idea on numbers but it’s a fair few quid could be up to £10m ( I plucked that from thin air). I’m sure Levy will have mentioned it.
