Can't wait for the end of season group aneurysm, flowing nicely into groundhog day when it comes to transfers.

I’m worried if we don’t qualify for the CL then we might not sign anyone this summer! Imagine.

Edit- forgot sarcasm doesn’t shine through on text ;)

If we win our next game 2-1 and then win the next two, then you wont have anything to worry about as we would have qualified for CL by virtue of our league position and being current Champions!!

Plus we've had no concrete links with anyone, perhaps bar Sess at Fulham, other than that it's tumble weed.

I think its sweet that you think not getting CL is the reason we won't sign anyone. Only joking, we will sign players this summer CL or not.

goes to show how out of form we are when you consider we could line up with Lucas, Eriksen, Dele as a 3 behind Llorente next week and there's still no expectation of us scoring.

In reality, that's still a forward unit more than capable of scoring plenty of goals. They are just playing like *****

I thought we were playing well today until the meltdown.

I am absolutely livid. I feel utterly let down by the club - players, manager and to a greater extent, board. How are we in this mess? I struggle to contemplate how this season could end in europa league football. Fucking livid.

Since when did we ever have concrete links to players before we bought them? I know people think I am an optimist about transfers but the whole point of the new stadium is ambition and having built it refusing to invest in players is counterintuitive and seems like bad business to me and I don't think the man does bad business.

No Kane or Son for the game at Everton and you really do wonder where the goals are going to come from. Eriksen has been a passenger for a while imo and Dele is struggling to. Just hope somehow we can use home advantage to get over the line.

One of either Levy or Poch is to blame and I’m not sure who for that joke of a transfer window. Idiots the pit of them.

That’s why there was uproar.

You need a pass of players through the squad - everyone knows this

the players are much to blame, which Poch can only be blamed for selecting the individuals

Watford the defence never did their jobs on both goals, and winner
Liverpool deserved the end result, but 2 poor errors from Vorm, and sloppy passing
Man C a poor attempt by Tripper a poor effort from Lamela
Man U yet again a sloppy pass by Trippier, and poor finishing
Burnley poor defending for both goals
Chelsea poor defending for both goals
Southampton, should of been out of site in the 1st half
Liverpool not taking our chances and Lloris
Bournemouth, Dier, Son, Toby and Foyth totally wrecked us with yet another game we should of been out of sight

please tell me what Poch did wrong in those games

It'd be nice sometimes, is all.

No idea about the ambition bit, our fans lack quite often.

I think there may be some positives to missing out on the CL. Probably my biggest disappointment of the last two windows is not just that we haven't bought anybody established, but that we've stopped buying young, hungry and ambitious players.

These kind of players were crucial to Poch instilling his style into the team - their energy and enthusiasm were massive IMO. Players like Alli, Mason, Bentaleb, Son, Kane etc all quickly bought into his methods and techniques and bonded the team into a unit.

We've noticeably lost that in the last couple of seasons, things have become obviously stale and the squad has been spread too thin.

I think part of the problem with the recruitment recently has been we're aiming too high because we think we're thinking like a CL team and when we inevitably struggle to seal signings, we don't seem to be keen to accept the next tier of player. Maybe if we move down to the EL there'll be a recognition that we need to go back to what worked for us, targeting young and hungry players that can do what Kane did and use the EL as a springboard to launch their careers. We used to have fire in our belly - now, not so much.

It’s always darkest before the dawn. Have a feeling Dele will score the winner on Wednesday and Tripps will score the winning free kick on Sat. Also have a feeling I’m going to see a lot of rainbows at the end of this message.

The irony is Levy will prob be willing to spend if we fail to get in top 4. Instead of spending to improve year on year to ensure we stay there.

What bothers me about Everton is that we hammered them at Goodison in one of our few genuinely outstanding performances this season. They don't need Europe to be motivated to get a result next Sunday. Straightforward professional pride will have them fully motivated. We will likely be coming off a semi-final defeat (possibly a pretty brutal one) and at as low an ebb as a team could be going into a game. It's about as out of our hands as it could be, while still technically being in control of our own fate.

lets not forget everton won't have played since friday, a win seems highly unlikely imo due to many reasons, no kane, no son, lack of goals & everton keeping plenty of clean sheets

Everton haven't kept that many CS away from Goodison, and a very good chance they will be without Richarlison and the best they can finish at the moment is 8th
