9 points from the last 10 games feels me of no confidence going into next week.

Our investment had been fine out of what we've spent. You expect close to half your signings to fail. But we've had very, very little to spend.
How do you know that? Multiple ITK stated there was a reasonable budget. And ‘by sensible’ I mean actually buying

It can't work long term. You can get occasional success on that model - Leicester winning the league, Ajax at least in the CL semi finals. But I can't name a single club in the modern game who've consistently, over 5-10 years, won trophies against a financially bigger side - can you? The El Classico dominate Spain, Juve in Italy, PSG in France, Munich in Germany. England is the least predictable. But long term you need to use the success that brings (alongside a bit of luck in terms of getting a player like Kane through) to boost your resources. Otherwise you will inevitably regress.

That’s a different point. I said we can progress, didn’t say we could be the best in the country consistently.

Not becoming the best doesn’t automatically mean we will regress.

If we continue to buy high quality young players, develop them and pay the likes of Kane high wages then we can continue to be a consistent CL team , improve the squad and win trophies.

It's been a while since I so badly wanted for a season to end. It's looking now that it may well end in 5th or 6th. Just so embarrassing.

Whether we will continue to progress under ENIC I have no idea. If Poch doesn’t believe Onomah, KWP, Edwards and Skipp are ready or just not good enough then we need first team players and some squad players.

Do we have a plan in place or working on obtainable targets? I really hope so.

@Japhet how can you rate a question Optimistic?

We should absolutely be contesting the Son red and if we don't we're weaker than the referee

That's never going to be overturned. Total brain fart from Son. You cannot do that and the fact that the Bournemouth player milked the fuck out of it makes no difference.

I really can’t see anything at the moment that suggests that we will take anything other than zero points from the Everton game. It also means we likely finish 5th/6th. 13 league losses as its stands is absolutely pathetic and the football we’ve played this year has been average at best in the league. Not to mention the amount of times we have scraped last minute winners in games we performed well below standard. It’s almost embarrassing to think we’re actually 3rd (albeit temporarily) considering all the above.

Who is to blame? Personally for me the whole ‘We can’t find realistic signings in this market who would improve our squad’ line really touches a nerve with me. I could name players from teams in the bottom half that would be direct replacements and improvements on multiple players in our Starting XI! Not even just improvements on the squad players!

I feel the same way about just wanting this season over. It’s been a really hard work season with very little enjoyment to be honest. Losing 13 games, being crap at the start of the champions league, “nearly challenging” for the title and then to go on a horrendous run of 7 losses in 11 games, the constant wait wait wait for the new stadium and the total amount of injuries we have had throughout! Just feels like it’s been a slog!

If it ends with Europa League then I would really hope we play the youth team in those games and just get out of the competition as quickly as possible! Look how it’s affected both Arsenal and Chelsea this year, it’s killer of a competition!

Can’t agree more with this. That is such a condescending egotistical statement anyway. It’s just asking the Universe to come along and tear you another one.
