Question re Dier and yellow cards

I was reading some rules the other day and one rule in particular said if you receive 10 yellow cards before april you get a 2 match ban.

Now Dier is on 7 yellow cards but has already served a 1 match ban for 5 cards before January. Hence if he does get another 3 cards before April, does he get another 2 matches or only 1 match as he has already served 1 match?

I mainly ask because i love his physicality and think he may get the 3 more cards but i would hate to lose him for another 2 matches. I also dont want him losing this physicality in fear of this 2 match ban.

Hope this is in the right forum.

Thanks in advance from Australia.

There should be a Q&A thread for questions that don't really warrant a thread of it's own

(no disrespect, OP, just saying!)

No offence taken. I think it will die its own death now the question has been answered.

Mods may even be able to lock it.

I often have little questions and thoughts that really don't warrant a thread but lordy knows where to put them.

Anyway, knowing this site it'll probably turn into something else entirely and end up going for dozens of pages and we'll end up fighting over grammar in the end ... or #HoudiniWatch

What happens if, for instance, he got 3 yellows in his next 3, was suspended for the 2 games after, then got another 5 yellows before April?

I believe if a player gets 15 cards before the end of the season, it goes to a disciplinary hearing but i may be wrong.

Alli is also on 7 yellows. I just hope they don't reach 10 before the Arsenal game, and hopefully not at all, because that would be pretty bad, especially if it's towards the end of the season. Cut-off point is 10th April.

Some cards for Alli and Dier have been for silly non physical reasons. They should save them for proper fouls instead of silly stuff.

Think I might tweet them to remind them they're on 7. They're probably unaware until they reach the 4 or 9 mark.

So basically, if they don't reach 10 before April, it's because of me. I saved us. You're welcome.

They only received two (Dier) and three (Alli) yellow cards since mid October so I hope they will continue to be careful.
