Did Sandro just do his knee ?

I missed the start of the story but they cut to the game and talked about an unlucky player potentially doing his knee for the third time and being in tears as he came off pitch, but didn't mention the name.

Hope not.

EDIT - no it's Ryan Taylor. Damn shame but still glad it's not Sandro

Some great short passing there from Carroll, moved the whole team up the pitch.

I missed the first 20 mins but Carroll has done ok the bit I have seen. He's never going to be the best at pressing/closing down/breaking up play but he is doing a disciplined job of getting goal side and in front of his back four. His passing has been very tidy and efficient, as you would expect.

I envy the Swansea and Everton squads, players like Bony and Lukaku. Two clubs who are reaping the rewards of proper investment into key areas.

That's terrible, I think this is his first game back after 2 years out!

Sandro is now off with a groin injury.

Is it ok to hope that RVP and Jack Wilshire really really don't get injured today? :sneaky:

Not sure if there's another player who fuses power with technique as well as toure does.

Poor pass by Carroll to lose it for the city goal, shame.

Yep, brutal that his first bad pass leads to a goal. Montero didn't help the team by doing a Danny Rose and walking back instead of running to help defend mind.

Wow, with a back line of Smalling, McNair, Blackett and Shaw I expect the goons to score a few!
