Really wished luton won tonight, just because i am desperate for brentford to get dragged back into the battle and get relegated with maupay and toney.

1-0 up in the 90th minute vs Liverpool. Got it back to 2-2 vs Villa in the 89th minute. 3-2 up vs Arsenal. 4-2 up vs Newcastle. 3-0 up vs Bournemouth. 2 points out of 15. That's why they're going down.

Oh wow just checked in on Luton after seeing they were 3 up.

That won't do the confidence any good

I maintain that Luton are fun but holy shit how did it get to 3-3 so quickly?

It's really poor to be honest. I'm not sure how they approached the 2nd half, but I can imagine that they didn't change their approach and just went for it still. It's all good and well sticking to your principles, but when your resources are so much less than every other team, there has to be compromises somewhere along the line, and I mean specifially at least throughout a match to adapt to circumstances.

Reminds me of Blackpool a little bit. No one remembers a team that played good football in the Premier League but still gets relegated.

Speak for yourself, I remember that Blackpool team very well.

But I agree the similarities are striking and Luton probably have to rely on points deductions for Everton and/or Forest to survive now. Even that might not be enough.

You've got a real hard on for Brentford going down and I don't get it

Yeah I agree with you mate, think I mean it half as a figure of speech and half reality as I obviously remember that team as well, but maybe more so mean it in a way that suggests it can count for very little if you just end up getting relegated still.

I think so too. Will be harder for Luton to take because at least Burnley and Sheffield United fans will know they're just shit, whereas Luton have really thrown away a lot of leads that would have probably seen them be OK. Really hoping Everton or Brentford go down.

Probably wont be midweek between City and Arsenal, as City will get moved for FA Cup...if fhey beat Newcastle.
If City beat Newcastle and get to the CL semi final, our match with City will either need to be played a midweek after the game is currently scheduled (23rd/24th April), which is unlikely, or between Burnley and Sheff Utd, so I doubt the Chelsea game will be then.

That’s Luton in big trouble surely. Will take them a while to get over that by which time it may be too late. Shame.

Do you not think the City game would move to the 23/24th April ? (If they beat Newcastle)

No, I think that is when they will play Brighton, which hasn't yet been re-arranged, as these are the only 2 dates they can also play them.

Saturday is make or break for them with forest at home, whoever wins that stays up I reckon.
I really thought their home fixtures would be their strong point but surprisingly their home record is worse than their away record.

Used to work with a chap originally from Luton.

Don’t think he was into his football.

He had horseshoe hair and his name was Dave. Think he works for some alarm company now.

Shame really. If Dave was into his football I’d imagine he’d want Luton to stay up.
