I love to see this losing Newcastle ,even if it means Livepool get a big boost.

Newcastle are being front loaded with tough games this season. Thats very good. Now they have lost 2 in 3 and still some tough games coming up like Brighton away next week.

When they start playing in CL, they will get those low to mid table teams - hopefully due to the fixture congestion, I hope they lose or draw those as well. Infact, I can see it happening.

Being in Europe is a tough ask - it means a culture shift for club, staffs and players. I hope pressure is kept on Newcastle this way throughout this season and they end up outside Europe again

Very early days ofc but I said before the season started I thought Newcastle, Brighton, Villa and Man.U wouldn’t be as strong due to CL/EL and just not able to sustain last seasons form. Villa look good sure but once Europe kicks in that will effect them.

I predicted something like:
1. City
2. Arsenal
3. Liverpool
4. Tottenham
5. Man.U
6. Chelsea
7. Newcastle
8. Villa
9. Brighton
10. West Ham

Very competitive top 10 makes it quite exciting tbh, if you took city out the league and if we sign a CB and ST I think there would be about 5-6 teams this season who could all battle for the title.

I don't think Newcastle targeted him enough imo. There was a red card in there. Newcastle's game management was terrible all round.
I’ve always wondered how much of Newcastles form has been down to Eddie Howe, his tactics, sensible transfers etc and how much of it has just been the whole club riding a huge wave of positivity due to the takeover after years of toxic negativity under M.Ashley.

Id say it’s a combination of both but I can see their league form dropping off this season when the CL games kick in.

Their squad isnt big enough. I bet they end up finishing third in their group and dropping into the Europa League, which will be even worse for them

Klopp won’t see that as a win. 40% possession (again), he’ll be campaigning to the FA to award Newcastle the points.

And sometimes you look forward to the CL games under the lights but then don't feel as energised for the away trip the following weekend
