They've had the toughest fixtures out of all the "big" teams. They are bound to improve once they get used to how the manager wants to play and new players bed in.
Have they? Not so sure. We've played two local derbies away from home, Liverpool have played two away as well.

Defo a game they should win but Everton actually looked quite decent against Liverpool. Onana a very decent midfielder, Gordon improving almost week by week and Patterson a very impressive young right back.

Looks like they've finally made some decent recruitment and Maupay, while incredibly unreliable, is at least a 8-10 goal per season striker.
I think there good for a draw Everton

They looked good on the counter against Liverpool, just lacked the finish. So hopefully they will have their shooting boots on for that one

Which trait would you associate more with the real top sides historically?

Even when they lose they perform really well?

They pick up wins and draws at times they do not play well?

For me, the real top sides have a habit of getting more than they deserve. Arsenal up until today had impressed me in the way they played and how quickly they responded in game to any challenge they faced. Today however, Areteta showed again he is not on the level of the real top managers. The changes made were too drastic and too early.

The going gets tough for all clubs in Europe moving forward, Arsenal's lack of depth and experience throughout the team and manager will cost them.

They've played four of the top eight teams in six games, suggesting they are playing teams in form, as well has two of he top 5 teams last year.

Might be the case but the league table doesn't really paint a proper picture until 10/12 games in, but I see your point about form

I find arteta's David Brent impression very questionable, but he's had Arsenal overachieving for quite some time now it's hard to question that. Today, they really should have done better the patterns of their play was excellent, though Man utd have a real softness to them under ten Haag. Arteta may not be a top manager, whatever that really means, but he is clearly doing a very good job there.

This performance though shouldn't really be a major concern to Arsenal, and while I doubt they will sustain the form to really be challenging towards the top of the table I think they have a really good chance to make the CL.

Obviously, how they respond is very crucial. Arsenal are a young team with a young inexperienced, though I think talented, manager. These kind of performances happen all the time.

Mistakes with substitutions happen all the time too. For example, I think Conte against Fulham was way too quick to take Kane off and that was a major part in us being unable to keep the ball away from our goal and allowed Fulham onto us. But we got away with it, because we did it becomes justified, sometimes you don't.

But Arsenal would often be patchy last season. Go through moments of getting impressive results and moments of underachieving. We will see if the experiences of last season have made them stronger. Just as finishing 3rd in a two horse race made us stronger the following season under Poch.

Of course not but you can’t properly let go and it’s not far off. There’s too much doubt. I’m assuming you don’t go to games or else you’d understand?
Haha what a joke
Of course I go to games- I’ll be there on Wednesday
I also go to rugby and cricket matches where tries and wickets get overturned on review.
But in the moment, I’m out of my seat and cheering (like everyone else btw)

If there’s a review it tempers your celebration, for sure.
but it doesn’t stop that feeling of joy when the goal is scored etc.

The way you describe it is just sucking the joy out of the experience of being there live. I don’t know why you bother going if it’s affected you that much.

Ok I’ll stay at home, that should solve that. ??

I thought he dived a little early and then decided to cover the near post. Read the eyes wrong?
Certainly read something wrong, the harder option for Antony was the way the keeper dived and being left footed he was always going to open his body up there.

How did we let Eriksen slip through our fingers... or was he not interested in us ? didn't follow the transfer closely.
I read somewhere the other day that Utd offered Eriksen 43M to make sure they got him instead of us? If it’s a 5 year deal that’s what 165,000 a week. Over 280,000 if a 3 year deal! Considering no transfer fee it’s not that extravagant.

Heard a funny story about Anthony apparently Ajax would have sold for much less, but they knew United were desperate so just fleeced them

First action being too slow to chase so grabs the player

Second action having to catch the player on his way down and bundle him away from the ball :wideyed:

Now wait for Southgate to still pick him ahead of Dier
He doesn’t play in the same position as Dier
