They will all improve next season, bar possibly Chelsea.

Arsenal and United will most likely get rid of the legends now Emery and Solskjaer have seen what they've got to work with.

I still wouldn't necessarily write off Chelsea just yet as they've got some amazing academy players. Depends on CHO's injury.

If they don't get cl it will be tough for arsenal, man u and Chelsea can withstand it but it really makes arsenal less attractive as each season passes.
Just look at the state of their squad.

I'd rather a Utd win...puts them both on 67 points....one more win and a definite third place I reckon.

I just hope we beat Bournemouth and don't need anything on the final day. Anything can happen in one game and Everton have some quality.

Our mentality has to right against Bournemouth. Cup final etc.
It's going to such a difficult game. Bournemouth will know we're knackered and they'll look to up the tempo to run us ragged like West Ham did.

The lack of signings has cost us so many points imo, easily winnable games being lost through the players not being in peak physical condition. Poch has no genuine trust in the backup players.

United, Chelsea and Arsenal have mental problems, we don't. But we've got to get better physically and to do that you need to beef up the squad a bit with players Pochettino can really trust.

Some stats...

Arsenal never lost a 12.00 kick off before today . Think it was 11w/4d

Last three games Arsenal they let in 3 per game. Last time was 1967

Lost 4 out of last 5 (Scraped that win against Watford)

It's not lucky to be better than our rivals.
I would even go so far as to say, our rivals are lucky we've had serious injury problems all season as we may have been in the title race.
*edit* OK, maybe not injuries alone, but our footballers have played more football than any other PL club by quite some distance if you include the WC semis.

I'm not convinced United will improve. Solskjær haven't done anything as a manager, the 'this is how we did it under Ferguson'-talk will only take them so far.

A Chelsea win is good for top four, it puts both us and them on 70 points, Arse 66, Utd 64. It means we can confirm top four against Bournemouth.

That involves us winning our first away game since Fulham on the 20 January. A terrible run of away defeats.

Bournemouth are the most up and down team in the league. Win 5-0 at Brighton and lose at home to Burnley and Fulham either side of that.

How that game goes depends far more on whether they turn up than us, tbh.

Anyone know in what scenario we could still get top 4 if we managed less than 3 points in our final two? Let's say we had 71 or 72?

I take it we'd definitely need Burnley to beat Arsenal for starters?

Arsenal are currently 4 points and 9goals (GD) worse off than us. If they lose one more game then they can’t overtake us, even if we lose our last two games.

If United beats Chelsea, neither can afford another loss this season if they want to overtake us (virtue of our superior GD over both clubs).

If United draws the game tonight , United have to win both their games to overtake us (provided we lose both our games) but Chelsea would only need one win then. Two draws for Chelsea might not be enough because of GD.

If Chelsea beats United, Chelsea just needs one draw to overtake us (if we lose both our games).

So basically, all we need is one win from the last two games to be safe for top four.

I'm wondering what's the best result for us against Ajax first leg to ensure we come out fighting for Bournemouth game ?....A good win and Poch might try and rest a few for the second leg.
