Liverpools lack of a number 10 is going to cost them. Salah was never going to repeat last seasons feat.

They lack real quality in Central Midfield. No subtle passers of the ball just Hollywood long ball stuff from their captain. All their midfielders these days just rush around fouling the opposition players. They rely totally on the magic of their front three to actually win matches.

Close down the ball actually getting to them and they can’t do anything.

He needs to play lallana as one of the midfield three or change formation. That’s the answer but hopefully he doesn’t work it out.

Telling me Salah is a one season wonder? :sneaky:
Yes and no. He's obviously a really good player and not just a Michu who had a few months in the sun before fading into obscurity, but there's no way he'll ever post numbers like last season again.

Just joking after all the Kane comments from oppo fans claiming him as a one season wonder when he has got similar numbers even with injuries. I know Salah is quality, likely just going through a blip, and at the work time for Liverpool. As soon as he scores again, a few more will follow.

We have Palace-Brighton on TV. Don't really mind. I went to one many years ago, Palace won 5-0, and it was quite an intense match. Pubs closed around the ground for hours afterwards. Loads of police, vans and riot gear. Both sides consider it a derby, I suppose because the two places are close by train and Brighton moved into Gillingham's ground for a bit.

It's a rivalry from when Terry Venebles and Alan Mullery were managers at the clubs in the mid 70s and they had some pretty fierce games as both teams were chasing promotion from Div 3.

And of course things escalated again with the infamous dressing room shitter playoff semi final a few years ago. Even though it's been revealed it was the Palace bus driver's fault and not an act of sabotage!

Michu was class. It was a serious ankle injury that ruined him.

This is shaping to be an appaling game. Hopefully we get an early goal. Or sending off!
