Yeah, I wonder if the fact that we went in early and quietly before he was “cleared” of those allegations made all the difference. (To my fellow attorneys here, I realize that “cleared” is used incorrectly in a legal sense).

It's hard to have a debate when everybody is in agreement, saying we're excited about Bissouma is even more obvious than water being wet imo, I just don't see how anybody could not be on a footballing level.

On that note, I do think too many people read into what a player is doing on social media.

I remember a few times where people have seen a player like a post or do something on IG only for that to mean a player is coming.

Also it would be interesting to know how many of them actually control their own social media, rather than someone managing it for them.

With it being done so early, it still sort of feels like this signing has gone under the radar a bit. That, and with the constant rumours floating about its easy to understate the fact that before this we already landed Ivan Fecking Perisic.
Just amazed how two incredible bits of business seem to have made very little ripple in a wider pool.

Honestly think part of the reason is where we are in the league. Already ahead of the rest (and generally people expect it to stay that way with Conte), but far off the title and unlikely to change that with 2,3,4 very good signings, especially given City this window. It's all fun for us and we have hopes, but I imagine the wider crowd can't see it having much impact on league position. 4th to 3rd perhaps.

Out of all the new signings, Bissouma is the one I’m super excited about - genuinely the best midfielder outside the top 6 last season (levels above Rice and Phillips for me) and can go on to be world class, we’ve been missing a player like this since Dembele.

Reason to be concerned. When was the last time we were all excited about someone who turned out to be good for us?
