Ok I understand that people don't want him here but the abuse in this thread is piss poor.

Think that's a huge exaggeration, I think what you're seeing is a lot of people's patience run out. A lot of people are abusing his 'football' rather than his personal which isn't as bad, thankfully.

I think you're all getting ahead of yourself if you think he'll be gone in the summer.

Rebrov.
Bentley
Jenas
Adebeyor
Gomes

All examples of unwanted players we could sell and ultimately left for nothing.

It's not being nasty or abusive about Soldado. It's simply telling it as it is. Lets not sugar coat it, he has been a complete flop since the day he signed for us. His performances have been nothing short of embarrassing. I think most of us are still in shock at how crap he really is. With each game, with each miss, each inept performance, it becomes more and more frustrating. He's had nothing but great support from us fans and we've had nothing back.

Soldado will be on huge wages for any other club to take on. Best case is a loan with us covering some of his wages next season.

You was all for the abuse in the Adebayor thread

It's ok when it's directed at a player you dislike though, such as Adebayor.

Think its a bit different. Ade could be the best player in the world but I still not fond of the man.

Calling Soldado a "wanker" and a "****" because he's struggling in the EPL is a bit harsh.

Not gonna lose any sleep over though :)

What are you basing that on?

It all started from a Jason Burt article in the Telegraph. No one really knows though:

Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool - The Telegraph

"Even Soldado’s fee – at £26 million – is not as high as it appears, breaking down into £13 million plus a further £13 million if targets and incentives are met."

Matt Law from the Torygraph said it as well.

Tottenham Hotspur stalling over Roberto Soldado's loan move

Although the total cost of the deal to sign Soldado from Valencia could rise to £26 million, Tottenham would only need to recoup around £13 million to cover what they have paid out so far.

I think you are being selective with regards to some of the posts in the Adebayor thread, this is child's play compared to the hate in that thread.

Harsh?

Call it what it is.

Pathetic behaviour from people who are emotionally inadequate rage babies. We all go OTT from time to time in the heat of the moment but anyone still seething enough the morning after the night before to behave like that should seek psychiatric help as a matter of urgency.

Anyone still incapable of formulating rational thoughts and putting across a reasonable and balanced opinion after a nights sleep needs to fuck right off from here, they are ruining the place. ****s!

:cautious:

Anyone can miss a near open goal. Shit happens.
If he had scored, and we had won,
the bobby cultists would have been out in force today.
Fine lines.

Having said that, he has been pretty much crap from the start.
This incident is just another example.

Soldado's performance yesterday was one of the most embarrassing and appalling things I have ever seen. All I ever seem to hear is how his work rate and link up play is why we should be playing him but yesterday I saw pathetic flicks to nobody, constant passing backwards instead of turning with the ball towards goal and don't even get me started on that pass.

This isn't a player that isn't getting the service, this is a player that isn't getting in the right areas in the box. A top striker is ahead of his defender when the cross comes in not floating around with no real purpose. I like the bloke as a person but he offers absolutely nothing. He can't beat a man, can't finish and doesn't have any strengths we can play to.

To call the comments in this thread "abuse" is hilarious given what I've seen written about players like Adebayor, Paulinho and Naughton over the past year or two. This man should be ashamed to collect his wages for this week.
