I like him a lot but a few of his worst performances have come in big games - he was also quite poor in the 3-2 loss to United.

Great option to have and can be brilliant at times, but I wonder if Bissouma might be better suited to games vs the toughest teams in the league as he offers a bit more athleticism and bite.

I don't think our shape helped a great deal. Chelsea overran us in midfield and unfortunately for us, didn't allow us a second on the ball. Bentancur could've definitely played better but we couldn't get a foothold on the game because Chelsea set-up perfectly to nullify our wide areas and flooded the middle of the park.

Yeah completely agree that many of the players we're essentially set up to fail today so don't really blame him.

It's more a general feeling - he's a classy player but he's not really the type to impose himself in big games and sometimes that's what you need. Hence I wonder if Bissouma might work better in those .

Hope he isn't concussed. Though if he is, it's a great chance for Bissouma to get into the team and show what he can do.

Me too, but might be a good idea to give him a break to be on the safe side.

He looked very out of it, I thought.

He is one of those midfielders that just does their job every game. He’s under the radar and is just keeping the team ticking. Really enjoying both him and Hoj, the only thing I would say is that it feels like neither of them have had a game where both are at their best at the same time. It is like they are taking turns at being a bit sloppy.

He has been an incredible signing though and will just continue getting better. The upgrade in our midfield he has brought is massive

It's good to read these last few posts. I listened to the game on the radio and I swear the only time his name was mentioned, was when he had the injury. I assumed he was playing poorly or worse, not involved at all.

how long would he have sit it out if he was formally concussed?
the spurs medical guy looked to be calling it , much to conte's disgust.
He'll get blasted today, but I hope he stands his ground - players' welfare comes first.

Well Bissouma gets his chance now.

Hopefully Bentancur will be back soon but you can't take any risks with concussion.

We will certainly miss Bentacur,he's been quality.
By the end of the season Bissouma will be our star midfield man once he gets a run in the team.
Coming on for small cameo roles doesn't let us see how good this fella is.
Cant wait to unleash him.

Main thing is the player's welfare. If he's concussed then he has to sit it out, no question. We've an absolute quality midfielder in Bissouma, and Skipp coming back too. I wanted Sarr to stay until January in any case and get properly into the ethos of the club and understand what Conte wants before going out on loan until the end of the season.

This is what we are building a squad for.

Well that's a bummer.

At least we have bissouma to come in and skipp to come back onto the bench.

Shouldn't be out for too long hopefully.
