Richy is like a little brother or that Scrappy doo style friend that you always knew would come through for you if you were in trouble. I bet the players fucking love him.

I’m 44 and sitting here seriously thinking about getting my hair done like Richy.
You're in trouble....I've just read that whilst lying in bed and started laughing. Wife asleep next to me - or was! You know when you try and hold a laugh in? I've full on snorted/oinked like a pig.

She ain't happy!

i was on the fence about Richarlson to start. Thought he had the capability of being a classless prick that might wilt under pressure. (Well, the wilting part is an an exageration but i wanted to add drama to the post). but i thought given his hustle and talent, perhaps it could be channeled and developed under Conte. Then the stories came out about how his teammates loved him and it was beginnign to dawn how wrong that original opinion was. But even with that realitization, it wasn't even close to where i am now. He gives his all for the team and his work ethic is off the charts for someone with his skill level. Love the guy and while Conte might develop him, he is already where i thought Conte could get him. I haven't been this wrong since Harry Kane and it's wonderful to be so wrong on something that can help the club so much.

Just loved how important that was to him and that his family were there to see it.
Such a likeable lad and that's something I didn't realise at all before, his passion and fight are amazing.

I was watching him as they walked out and lined up before the game. His eyes were wide and he just seemed amazed at the atmosphere.

Couldn’t help but notice that just after his second, he was back on the edge of our box trying to break up a Marseille attack. It wasn’t when we were all hands on deck either, he ran past Harry and Son, and a few midfielders to be there, at the point we were winning it back hd was still behind our midfield players.

Lad just gets it.

Imagine going from playing for Everton and Watford, all the frustrating losses every other week and the relegation battles, then have a night like last night... and your dad's there to see it. I don't begrudge him a single tear.

"It was years of struggle, and you were always by my side. I just need to thank you for not giving up on me and my dream. Today, having you here, made the moment even more exciting for me. We continue together for even bigger dreams to come! Thanks Dad!"

June: cringing so hard at the Scouse family’s ‘Richy lad’ video.

September: father in law is coming round later for the third night of rehearsals.

Came across this on reddit and it's worth a read, though I imagine it's been posted here before. Hadn't seen it myself. What a lad. So happy for him tonight.

That article is brilliant, reminds me of my sons attitude to be honest, the sheer determination he has to better his families lives after being a abandoned by his mum aged 10… the inner fight he has for a 16 yr old is actually quite inspiring. I’ll send him that link dude

His first touch, dribbling, passing, lay offs, vision, effort, grit, finishing, desire etc. is all superb.

I am pleased he's getting his opportunity.

My favourite player in the team currently, and my favourite signing of this summer. Made up for him that he bagged his first couple of goals. Especially on a CL night at The Lane.

Love the lad.
