Exactly the kind of faux outrage you'd expect from talk sport. Why should it be banned? Because other adults can't control their temper and resort to fouling? If they can't get the ball by legitimate means then the showboating is justified. In this case Richarlison is only putting himself at risk of getting fouled. He knows this when he does it so it's his choice.

I listened to it when they were discussing this. White asked the question should it be a bookable offence, Souness said no he sees nothing wrong with it. White asks the questions to see how people react and nine times out of ten he'll disagree with whatever answer the other person says just so it creates a debate.

They also brought it up this morning with Laura Woods and Ally McCoist and neither have a problem with it either, who are Arsenal and Chelsea fans respectively.

It'll no doubt get brought up again on different shows, and if I had to guess, Darren Bent will probably take issue with it but I could be wrong.

Well it's clearly bad form for Liverpool to score goals 7, 8 and 9 and still keep trying to score, how many points deduction should that be worth?

Just watched it again and it really is mountain out of a molehill territory , the juggling lasted maybe a second or so and consisted of three touches on the ball then it was passed back , if he had then lobbed the ball up and caught on the back of his neck like these ball artists do then that would be mickey taking but the whole thing has been blown out of all proportion.
In the short time he was on the pitch Richie's contribution was immense , he does deserve a start against WHU just hope he is OK as he was feeling the top of his thigh after that challenge.

I loved it better to wind down the clock this way, then head to the corner flag and stick your arse out. He is going to piss off the opposition

Showboating /ball juggling involves a degree of skill and technical ability, so Darren Bent doesn't have a say in the discussion.. !!!

Ive been getting into Baseball the last three years and one thing I have seen a fair bit of is the pitcher hitting the batter normally because that team on which the batter is on has disrespected them or broken an unwritten rule or something. It seems to be a normal thing to do (although a baseball connoisseur can correct me if im totally wrong)

So I see no issue with breaking an 'unwritten' rule in football but unfortunately that player is going to get a reaction of some sort from the opposition. You got to accept both sides. It is an unwritten rule isnt it I suspect which we dont understand as fans. All sport has unwritten rules.

I personally loved Richies keepy uppies and like his shit. If it was happening to us in front of Romero - Romero would have acted in the exact same way as the Forest player and we would have all backed it. I hate the high and mighty shit of the pundits though, Cooper saying shit makes me laugh - his players wont be able to do what Richie does anyways - fucking ****.

Romero would have waited until it wasn’t going to hurt the team and then would have been both harder and less obvious. He’s a cold stone killer and he never forgets.

He picks his moments for sure but 2-0 down, it didnt hurt Forest and it was someone on a yellow card. They got six of them yesterday so should be a fine for them anyways the fuckers.

I do like our back bone and think we have some steel now and Pierre is also always first on the scene to give them a piece of his mind.

Carragher still tweeting about it today. Richarlison wound up far more than the opposition apparently
