I don’t want to sound the alarm bells too soon but £60m on this bloke is looking like it’s going to go down in the Nicolas Pepe and Soldado archives if something doesn’t change quickly. Danjuma has already done more than he has in the Premier League. He needs to get fit and contributing ASAP.
Jesus Christ give the guy a chance

he’s had unfortunate injuries
A mid season world cup
Played out of position
And in a defensive set up

He will come good

It was a very weird purchase for that amount. He and Kane can’t really play together and we’re never going to rest Kane. If Kane goes I don’t think he's good enough to be the primary striker.

odd given just how glaring our needs at center back were that we’d spend 60M here

I’m not saying he can’t I’m just saying that this is where he needs to start proving it

Truth is Richarlison is a no9. He's never going to be as effective in the positions taken up by Son or Kulusevski as he's not completely technically secure and doesn't have great 1v1 ability. In my opinion Richarlison's Spurs career will be defined by Kane's future. If Kane stays this summer I can't really see him succeeding unless we move to a two striker formation. If Kane leaves, he will flourish.

I think it is criminal that he has not played more on the left to be honest. Son has been extremely lucky to be a favourite of the managers because he contributes the sweet sum of fuck all when oit of form which he has been all season.

I'm not sure what people are expecting with the time he has been given. In the league he has 3 assists (inc winning a penalty) in 498 mins, which is the equivalent of 5.5 games, playing in a team playing poor defensive football in an injury plagued season. For reference, Kulusevski has 5 assists in 1140 mins.

1.Did you see him for Brazil in the World Cup?
2.What is he supposed to do with 15mins off the bench?

Even if we are wed to the idea of a back three, Richarlison can play alongside Kane. The issue is that Son seems undroppable.

All of that is true.

what is also true is that apart from a 10 minute spell Vs Marseille he's not done a single thing of note in a Spurs shirt.

I'm sure it's as frustrating for him as it is become for us.

He’s got 3 assists in the PL including one of the best of the season, the outside foot cross to Kane.

tbh if conte took his head out of his ass and actually played and rotated the squad we wouldn't be having these conversations

What has Danjuma done more of than Richarlison in the premier league?

We didn't pay 60 million for one flashy outside foot cross in 23 games of football.

Look, I get it: injury and weird refusal to play him in his proper position have cruelled his season. But it's just hard to see how he fits at the moment. He has zero impact off the bench - usually way too late to get in the game. The whole thing is just frustrating - just as much for him I'm sure.

Maybe we just need to sack Conte and bring in a manager who will play 4-2-3-1 or some formation which will get the best out of him. At the moment it just seems a square peg ina round hole and he's way to good for that.

We paid 60 million for a back up winger/striker. Judging him off the limited time he’s had so far is absolutely moronic, the guy has probably been properly match fit for about 2 months in total this season. There’s way too little evidence to suggest he’s worth or not worth his price tag. What there is though is his performances for Brazil in his best position where he was really good.

Basically what you’re trying to say is you have an opinion and want to use 5.5 games worth of game time to show you are right somehow, you can do that if you like but I’ll wait until he’s at least had a 2-3 month period of consistent game time and fitness. When that happens if he’s still not performing well enough then you’re welcome to start drawing conclusions but to say it’s too early and he’s not had enough time on the pitch yet is an incredible understatement

What fucking opinion have I stated other than it's been a fucking frustrating season for both him and Spurs fans?!

Interested to see whether he gets more of an opportunity now. With our midfield decimated we might have to shuffle the pack a bit. Don’t see it since we’ve got Conte in charge who’s desperately stubborn but a change of formation with Kulu coming inside to play 8 (similar to how Ødegaard plays for Arsenal) could see him come back in up top. He needs a run and we need to see more from him. However you wanna spin it £60 mil on a forward to provide no league goal by mid Feb is a terrible return on investment.
