Looking at his profile. 25 years old, performing well in the Prem, Brazilian international, attacker with 2 years left on his contract. That's a player who is going to cost £40m+.

The question is if he is worth it and if there's a better option elsewhere.

Unless we wait or his contract to run down and risk him going elsewhere, the price is the price.
Yeah - Everton paid £35m for him back in 2018 when he'd only scored 5 for Watford the season before.

Maybe that says more about Everton's dodgy transfer deals, but 50m for a consistent PL goalscorer and Brazil international who just turned 25 sounds about right in the current market.

Edit: they actually paid £35m potentially rising to £50m

Shirley, you jest.

Conte is coming back for one reason - to win something. Not to finish 4th. To win.

That means we will be going strong in 4 competitions, and that means we will have plenty of meaningful minutes to pass out. It also means we need to keep our key players fresh for the long season - and being able to rotate Kane and Son with a player of Richarlison's capability means we have a chance to win those games.
Well, Kane and son will start every big game. So thats the reason i wrote if he will accept sitting on the bench. There is better players out there who has actually won something.

Honestly can’t stand him, obviously just my personal opinion, but always thought he was incredibly overrated and had terrible technique. Spending 60 mil on him sounds absolutely crazy to me. I know I will get neg ratings for this but it’s just my opinion on him. Hope that if this is true he’s just another one down the list.

I'm 50/50. Always hated his rolling on the floor exploits (I know every club has at least one player who does it including ourselves before anyone says anything), and never rated him that highly. Also the fee mooted I think is steep. However, if it has Conte's blessing I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. The fact he is still only 25 is a plus.

We're bookies favourites to sign him at 2/9, for what it's worth. Although I'm sure they're just reacting to this same tweet (for context, Eriksen is slightly bigger at 8/11)

If that’s who he wants then fine I’m behind it. Don’t really like his antics but we have to back the manager. Christ I thought he was older than 25

I always thought he was the one player at Everton that was too good to be there.

I’d have him in our team happily.

I’d so much prefer Scamacca from an ability point of view. Has much greater potential.
I just have a feeling he'll probably want to stay in Italy, also having someone used to the league will be vital if we want to challenge next year

But he's not as versatile as Richarlison to play across the forward line and let's be honest, strikers coming in from Serie A have hardly set the world alight in the PL so carries a bigger risk and personally see hm as another Vinicius/Janssen/Llorente twiddling his thumbs waiting for Kane to get injured to play any meaningful minutes.

When you see what Conte’s team have done with Davies, Doherty and even Kulusevski and Bentancur who many said were duds… you’ve got to be a little excited about what he could do with Richarlison.

Would be an excellent signing, huge upgrade on Bergwijn. Quality player, best striker we’ve been linked with this summer, proven in Prem. Part of Brazil’s first XI for a reason. Great finisher. Would be super acquisition & show we’re really going for it next season.

That’s only because everyone’s seen that tweet and gone and stuck £20 on it. It’s only a reaction to the market movement

50m is ridiculous money for Richarlison. We've been robbed if we pay that.
It’s 2022, second Phil.

He’s a PL experienced decent versatile forward in the prime of his career. I’d say £50m is bang on if not a bit light.

Phil v1 would have never said this.

The question is ONLY if there a player of similar quality that you can get cheaper? I'd say yes, when Liverpool get someone as good as Luis Diaz for cheaper than what this price is being quoted.

Prem proven is bullshit. Scout properly and then you don't have to pay the buying from other English clubs tax.

Richarlison is a decent/good player. We all know what he is, he's just not worth 50m and that's the truth.

There will be 4 or 5 deals done for over 50m this summer maximum. It is not the new norm that decent Prem players move for 50m.
