Different player in the second half, he actually seemed to be contributing to the team. Shame he didn't do that more often.

He would be a different player if playing in his preferred central position and playing every week - he would do well for an Everton type club

When is the last time he played in "his preferred central position"? I am pretty sure he played as a wide AM for France in the Euros, and I thought that was his position for Newcastle as well...

Tried to find something concrete on the transfer but couldnt.

Has there been any "trustworthy" reports on what kinda deal we actually did with Newcastle?

Will not happen, but had he been given time like Davies we may have seen something from him.
Perhaps not but we will never know ..

commentators were saying he was ill in the first half and would be subbed, but he played on.

2nd half was decent from him.

Effort is the minimum I expect from him, however his touch and football intelligence is too poor to play in a team like ours and his acceleration isn't good enough to be a winger.

Almost unforgivable the way he stood around and ball watched prior to their goal. If he had just bothered to move or anticipate the ball even a split second before he eventually decided to he would've prevented the goal. He's a waste of space. I think he might actually be a worse signing than Fazio.

Or maybe I just thought he did OK in a position he is not used to and that may give us options and flexibility in future.

I make no apologies for not ripping a Tottenham player after a 6-1 away win. Not about being honourable, it just seems a logical position.

He was very poor first half and much better 2nd half but this experiment - which is the nicest way I can put it - has not worked and Sissoko is not the kind of player that should be first off our bench in any game.

When Lamela was fit and starting, Son was our "12th man" as it were, followed by Winks, sometimes the other way round depending on the situation. Son has proved he can start on plenty of occasions now so we need a player that can have even half of the sort of impact next season as Son has this, cos let's face, Son has exceeded all our expectations.

Winks is more than capable and is arguably a future starter for us in CM but as Carragher rightly pointed out, we need someone else on that right side that is fast, skilful and has an eye for goal. It may not be Zaha anymore if he signs his new deal but it needs to be someone like him or Mane and we'll be far stronger for it.

To be fair he did well last night really. Still lacks a good first touch and final ball but worked hard and his energy stretched them 2nd half. He could be a good option on the bench on the Wembley pitch. Shame he will always be judged on his price tag. If he cost £5m he would be a smart signing and have a lot less pressure. Sir Alex had the odd player like him in his squad and they did a job for him.
